SUNFLOWERGAMES'S PROFILE
I first got interested in RPG Maker after watching X-Play do a review of RPG Maker for the Play Station. Years later I found RPG Maker VX Ace and decided to buy it. My first RPG Maker game, Dragon Lancer, was approved by Deckiller and became available to download on January 15, 2013.
Game / Engine Count:

Free to Use Music
You got some interesting music there. I'm always looking for good
music for my games, so I'll keep an eye out for what you produce to
see if it fits what I need. It's nice to see people submit free
to use resources.
Submitting Media
I was thinking about submitting some video footage of my
games (or perhaps even doing some videos of the first ten
minutes of a game, etc...)
I was wondering what software I would need (that would be
free and be compatible with this website.)
I guess I would also need a microphone to do this, if
I want to do commentary on the video.
What program to use.....
Here's a place you can get scripts:
http://rmvxace.wikia.com/wiki/RPG_Maker_VX_Ace_Master_Script_List
I have never used this battle system so I can't tell you
which script to use. There are games on this website that
have tactical battle systems. I would recommend messaging
someone whose made one and asking them about it. Maybe if
your lucky someone will share their script with you.
Enemies wont execute skill! (VX ACE)
Does the skill require HP, MP, TP or something to use it?
If it requires TP, the enemy will need to have the TP
to use it (or the MP.)
To test it take away all other skills, including attack
and go to battle test in the Troops section.
What Final Fantasy Monster was your favorite?
Emerald and Ruby Weapon from FF 7 were probably the hardest
optional bosses that I had to defeat. Double casting
Knights of the Round and Phoenix every turn is the way to
go. Plus final attack attached to Phoenix. even then its pretty
difficult.
Event dialoug help
Your explaination gets a little confusing.
Here's an example of what you can do.
Event A says something, then triggers a control switch
(This switch will allow Event B to say something and perhaps
Event A to say something new.)
When you talk to Event B you can trigger another control switch
(Whcih can also change what Event A and B are saying.)
You can also turn off Events and turn on events using
control switches. If you want Event A to disappear
after talking to Event B you can insert a blank page
with the proper control switch. Then if event A
is supposed to be a new location the put that event
in the proper location with the proper conrtol switch
trigger.
You can also use Conditional Branches (Event A will say
something if something has happened or will say something
else if something has not happened.)
Control Switches and Conditional Branches are a large
part of creating a game with these engines.
Need Help Making a Story
There was an atomic explosion that almost destroyed the Earth
20 years ago. Out of the death and destruction emerged a new
religious order called the Vain. The Vain believed that the
atomic destruction was a sign by God that the world should
be destroyed. The soul purpose of the new religion is to
bring about the true end of the world.
Something like that.
How do you make an in-game battle tutorial for the player
Or you can have NPC's explain things to you outside of battle.
I personally don't like seeing text in battles. It makes me want to
press enter 100 time just to get through it.
At the very least don't make it manitory. Have an NPC throw you
into a battle if you want to learn. If you don't then you can just
continue on your merry way.
WTF? Battle Processing in VX Ace only shows 30 entries?
I was just about to suggest checking your troops.
sometimes you can confuse the enemy list with the troop list.
What program to use.....
Definitley don't make a complicated game to start with.
Get used to how to use the program mechanics and make the
simplist and most crapiest game you can think of.
Once you have the basics down you can just use someone else's
script (because learning how to write your own script is like
blah...)
But to make sure you are getting what you really want try
playing some tactical games made with rpg maker. That way you
can see what they're capable of. There's got to be some around
on this webpage somewhere.
