Languishing Projects
This is happening to me right now... Because of a completely weird reason.
The project is nearly done and I just need to revise the events and make sure the scripts work, but... I don't want to finish it...
I've had so much fun making the scripts and features that I don't want to finish it, so I let it sit there without touching it... Almost done and I can't bring myself to complete it.

Games and Why You Make Them
1. How long have you been making games?
I would say about 8 or 9 years give or take.
2. How often do you feel like not making games anymore? What makes you keep doing it? (Anecdotes are good.)
I feel like not making games all the time, since I just want to focus on the programming aspect and not making a full game myself. As for what keeps me working, I would have to say it's people and friends that enjoy what I do.
3. What is your motivation for making games? (Do not be facile: You do NOT just do it because it is fun. Lots of other things are fun, and less work, and you could be doing them instead. So fun is part of it, but it's not the whole reason.)
My main motivation for making games would be applying features and making battle systems, menu, etc and other features that would work with a game. Since it's useless to make a lot of features for the sake of making them. I'm forced to make games that can use them.

VX - Script Problem...
post=143369post=143368You can't to 100.to_f, though! 100 isn't a variable. You can do stuff like damage.to_f, though.
Or append a .to_f to cast the value into a floating decimal point number
You can convert a numeric value into float point by putting it in parenthesis (100).to_f.
I HAVE HAD ENOUGH. THIS IS CANCELLED.

Well, that's sad to hear.
But a lot of those things are pretty normal when working on anything and multiplied when making a game, because you take on so many roles such as writer, mapper, programmer, etc.
If you ever start another project and come across any RGSS2 related problems, let me know and I will do my best to help you fix them.

VX is the same as 2k3 except you can do even more just with copy/paste, but okay.
Right now I'm polishing up the game setup/playthrough options part of Edifice.
EDIT: Annnd finished hacking Yanfly's Party Menu Zealous: http://rpgmaker.net/games/2158/images/10980/
The menu looks very nice. But the character list on the left could be fixed so it wont cut the sprite and name in half when there are more displayable items on the list.
