Do you play RM games with headphones?
I gotta do some testing on this issue. I'll try and put volumes back to 100% then listen in headphones and then speakers to see if the difference is still there. Maybe it's RPGmaker. I've had some weird problems with volumes not playing at the % it was set to. For example, if i put the meter to 50% and hit play I will hear it at 50%. But then if i close that window and reopen it, leaving the meter at 50% when I hit play again I will hear it at 100%, but then if I touch the meter at all it plays at the right %. Also some songs were too loud at 30% but too silent at 20% (in headphones), but I think those were because of the midi file.
Maybe I don't know enough about newer sound cards and OSs, but even if the volume meter in windows for say, Wave, or whatever, was at different volumes, all sound coming from RPGmaker would come through the same channel/track, would it not?
I know that when you plug headphones in the volume output is different. It's obvious because I can have the speakers on halfway and have tolerable music but then if I put in the headphones it's rattling my brain.
Maybe I can just leave it at 100% and it would be better.. I never really played around with it as it wasn't a major concern.
Anyways, I'm taking it easy on RM for a while.

Thanks for the responses. More people use headphones than I would have thought.
As for adjusting sound levels, I think your misunderstanding my issue. The reason I am changing the volume % values is because some music plays louder than others, and most of the music is way too loud at 100% and overpowers the sound volumes. The user cannot make adjustments to this, so their audio setup really has nothing to do with it. A person can only turn their volume up or down. I use the %'s to try and strike a good balance with sound/music.
And then the issue, the sound/music is well balanced with the current adjustments, but only while listening to headphones. I'll figure something out...

Super Desmo Bros.
It was a terrible conclusion, btw. haha actually, the first time we got to that part we somehow managed to get the item and when we were supposed to be trapped inside the walls, we were on the outsides! I was on the left and my friend was on the right. We had to quit a restart and beat it again just to see if there was more and nope...we just died. haha we had a good laugh though cause of the glitch.
There were several bugs in the secret levels. I forget what they are now, but we did finally beat. But the biggest glitch was the pipe transitions, I would come out of a pipe from the top, be put inside the pipe a little bit, and the game forces you out the side of the pipe. You should either move the exit up one space, or just have the character actually rise out of the pipe like he/she should.
