Should giant shops be broken up?

author=ShortStar
Or should we simply lump everything into one shop and possibly overwhelm the player?

It sounds like you already answered your own question

I have to admit that the reviewer only looked at the beginning of the game, and that's never a good a review and it's considered biased at best,

Sometimes a game makes a horrible impression right off the bat. If you can write a review of THIS LENGTH based on "the beginning" then I don't see why the review carries any less weight. Why would someone play deeper into the game if they had this much of an issue with the beginning? If you only played ten minutes of a game and they were so unenjoyable as to make you quit, that is valid material to write a review with. You do not have to play a game from start to finish and beat the extra optional final endgame boss to judge it.

Rewards for good blog post.

Do not make a post about a forthcoming post, it's stupid

If you feel a blog is pushing things off the front page, click Latest Blogs, and holycrap you can see a whole page-long list of blog entries

Two issues, solved

You only have one pole with snow on it. I'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way.

Also snow happens in places with high elevation, not just at the poles

- Scan's text is now different to clear up some things that didn't seem like they needed clearing up.
- The dialog box that kicks off the game is now fixed (we can all sleep at night now).

Oh no! When I fix all the errors... you guys can dislike the game for what it truely is.

Could you possibly make some changes or updates that aren't phrased in such a way as to shit all over anyone with a criticism for you? You seem like you care by actually updating, but then you include some really petty passive aggression as reasoning. Sorry but not every single aspect of your game is going to be 100% acceptable to everyone who plays it. Stop acting like a bitter child.

Enable combo help RPGM2003

A "multi-hit damage command" is impossible to do..?

What?? Put in "Enables Combo: Fight x2" or whatever. Then just have a battle event that triggers "Every 1x Rounds" and sets the combo back to 1. It will work just fine (IE, it will reset it to 1 every single round, but only right before or right after it gets used, so it won't interfere).

DungeonQuest

Yes, you can.

If that's how you feel, I'll gladly update my review at a later time. Please feel free to inform me as to when you feel you have made sufficient improvements as to warrant a revisal.

Ouch. I counted the scripts. Theres 50+ custom scripts. How do you think I made the friendly battlers or the bestiary or the scan or the shoot arrows or the multiple equipment slots?

Okay, that is true, although I guess I should have more carefully defined "custom scripts." There's some customization, and some scripting, but everything feels very... default. It's probably my inexperience with the engine, so you can ignore this.

You do know certain skills are used to kill certain enemies. You need to constantly be thinking about how you can win instead of just pushing the attack button.

No, I do not know this, because nothing/nobody EVER tells me this.

I guess I can hit the player with class information in the game. I know Dragon Quest 3 didn't, but people still love that game. Chances are, I'll over inform people about each class.

DQ3 also came out many years ago when games were held to a different standard. I'm sure that, while people love that game, nobody will ever specifically say "You know what I like ABOUT DQ3? The fact that I was totally uninformed about the classes' abilities." Yeah. I really like that you updated with class info though! This rocks.

The whip lets you stun enemies without a skill and you can attack flying or tall enemies WITHOUT A SKILL. The whip also gives you agility and its a stronger weapon! Perhaps I need more townspeople to tell you that.

While this is true I'm sure, in the review when I said there was no reason to use whips, I meant there was no explanation IN the game as to WHY I should use the whip. Perhaps the whip's description should be "Hits Flying, Tall."

You're not in a friendly battler party. If you come across 2 parties battling... your party is a 3rd party. Like if Russia & Europe had a fight and the US came along. We're 3 different countries.

Yeah, but, they're described as "friendly." The IMMEDIATE assumption is that they are allies, and not just a neutral third party. Perhaps when they appear in combat it should alert you - "You stumble upon a battle already in progress!"

I see your focus on the mistress. I will make it so you can give her jewelry. That's probably an overlook on my part. All classes should be able to use jewelry.

...

I think what I got from this review is >> Not uber mistress of my dreams. Rawr.

Not sure where you're getting that idea. My only complaint was that she couldn't wear jewelry (and I was half-joking, honestly; think about it. Giving jewelry to your Mistress...) and my other complaints were completely mechanics- and gameplay-based. Like never being told what a whip does. That's not a complaint that Mistress isn't uber, it's a complaint that I am not informed about the resources at my disposal.

But I'm thrilled that you're updating!

why even do that. do you really need to be teased before breath of fire 2 remake puts out screenshots. is that really necessary. and yeah there is a problem with it and the problem is limited amount of space on the front page.

I agree.

Is there a problem with letting people know in advance that big, nice things are coming their way? I don't.

I would rather just have those things than shiver in anticipation
