I don't actually have bloom at all on. I don't even have the shader that does that.

What's that coded in?

C-Script and C/C++. This time around it's much more C/C++ since I'm writing a much stronger version of the previous engine.

And it looks so dark because you're used to seeing fullbright 2D maps all the time. You're looking at a scene that's actually ray lit. It's lit with a global light with the following properties:

I kind of like this one. It's slightly less white (192 192 192).

Let's name this game Final fantasy because it is a RPG.

The TouHou Fangames are FANGAMES of an indie game made by some guy! TouHou fans are insane. They even (tried) to make an entire fan anime about it.

Twelve people is far too many for making an RPGMaker game.

Twelve people is far too many for making any sort of indie game. You need to get two loyal people who actually keep in close contact with you rather than twelve people who e-mail you 3 times during the entire development cycle to tell you about how they had a good sandwich and will draw those tilesets soon.
