YEASTER'S PROFILE

Hi! Thank you for peeping at my profile.
I like making modern-themed games. My first game, Onyx, was made in 2006, when I was a senior in high school. So it's pretty ROUGH, but people seem to like it? Total Chaos is my personal favorite, but it has some, erm, issues, too. Mystery Man Zero is coming you guys, I haven't forgotten about it. A full-game will come out even if it takes 10 years. Oh gosh, I hope it doesn't take that long, but you get what I'm saying, right?
Right now, I am also working on A Nightmare in Sunnydale, a horror genre mesh-up fangame, if you will. I also like playing games. Actually, playing RPGM games is legit one of my favorite pastimes. *insert smiley here*
When I can fit it in, I do a little bit of Gatekeeper as well, a sci-fi fantasy about a team of god-lite forces, Gatekeepers, who have to protect the dying Earth from forces they don't even know about.
If thou think they can take it, download some of my stuff!

RM history...
I randomly found GW from google about seven years ago. I never posted on the forums unless I needed help with something. I used to just post my games and disappear, although I started posting a more often around 2007, when Onyx 2 was finished.
...And that's it. This place and GW are the only gaming sites I visit. I usually just post at SurvivorSucks.

What Are You Working On?
Vanity
About to start a new dungeon, but first I'm fixing up gameplay errors to make it similar to MMZ. As in, I'm placing the colored arrows in front of places you can enter, and I'm doing the whole "Attack or Block" thing every time an enemy approaches you.

Game Reviewing? I'm up for it.
ChaosProductions and Yeaster: Thank you for submitting. I will likely PM you soon, as I will the rest. Hopefully, Yeaster, this game isn't as freaky as Total Chaos, which sorta fell apart for me.
I don't know what you mean by "freaky" (TC was something I did for fun, it does not represent all that I was/am about) but you can look through the screenshots on the game's page to decide if you want to try it out or not. If you don't want to do to review it, you really don't have to.

Sore Losers
I need something new to play, so I will check this out sometime today or tomorrow.
It looks interesting. You know I love the sci-if-ish/modern games.

[RSD DEMO] Ascendence
Just finished this. Graphically, it was great. I don't think I've ever seen an RM game made with so much detal.
I can't really comment on the storyline. I figured due to the length, the storyline didn't have a chance to kick in yet. The prolouge was pretty intense though. I loved the city, although some of the prolouge could've been cut out (namely the scene on the bus).
I will say this though, and I hate to sound like I'm just repeating what's been said before, but the wordiness of the dialog could potentially be a serious issue. This version was short, which is why it wasn't a huge bother, but this could really be troublesome during a full, completed version.
You can easily fix this by cutting out the filler and only leaving in the important parts of the conversations. It was hard for me to really understand what was going on because there were so much chatter. If the line won't particularly add to the storyline or help progress through the scene, then don't put it in. If it's not going to add to a character's personality or development, then leave it out. Only leave in the "meat," per say. It may lead to much shorter scenes, but your game will flow so much better because of it.
With that aside, the demo has immense potential. Good luck with it.

If you would be so kind... Mystery Man Zero ftw
The last boss of demo#2 has only 1 hp, although he's supposed to have 2200. That's what happens when you rush to meet a deadline.

Release Something! Day VI - Discussion Thread
I just read your updated review FG, and I very much appreciate it! I will definitely try to work on the level designs, and if I get stuck, I'll see if I can find someone to help me out.
What you said about the storyline though, was pretty spot-on. I'm more so concerned with the "journey" than the actual storylines in my games (and pretty much all of my writings). I usually develop one basic idea, and let the characters write themselves.
