YEASTER'S PROFILE

Hi! Thank you for peeping at my profile.

I like making modern-themed games. My first game, Onyx, was made in 2006, when I was a senior in high school. So it's pretty ROUGH, but people seem to like it? Total Chaos is my personal favorite, but it has some, erm, issues, too. Mystery Man Zero is coming you guys, I haven't forgotten about it. A full-game will come out even if it takes 10 years. Oh gosh, I hope it doesn't take that long, but you get what I'm saying, right?

Right now, I am also working on A Nightmare in Sunnydale, a horror genre mesh-up fangame, if you will. I also like playing games. Actually, playing RPGM games is legit one of my favorite pastimes. *insert smiley here*

When I can fit it in, I do a little bit of Gatekeeper as well, a sci-fi fantasy about a team of god-lite forces, Gatekeepers, who have to protect the dying Earth from forces they don't even know about.

If thou think they can take it, download some of my stuff!

I played through the rest of MMZ's second demo and I love it more than I did the first one. I think the interaction between all the characters really plays to my sense of humour and, because of that, I always want to make it through the next area just so I get to see the next cutscene. It doesn't even matter that the storyline and the characters are a little silly; the entertainment value more than makes up for it. Also, even though the dungeons are your standard RPG fare, the boss battles paper over the tedium - all the boss battles in that second dungeon (except for the flawed "final" boss, right at the end) are pretty freakin' intense! Still shaping up good.

Thanks!

The 3rd and 4th dungeons are better, but unfortunately, I didn't get to them in time!

I was thinking of releasing a "proper" demo, but I have a really good creative flow going, so I may just go ahead to wait until everything is finished before I release another version. I haven't decided yet, but we'll see...

[Second Demo] Mystery Man Zero

Bumping, because a second demo has been released for RSD.

The last boss of the dungeon has only one 1 HP. I forgot to change it after test playing (stoopid). He's supposed to have 2200 HP.

A "real" demo will arrive shortly. Maybe within the next month or so.

Constructive criticism is encouraged:

There is a slight error in MMZ. The last boss of the demo only has one HP (I forgot to change his HP when I was finished test playing that part). He's supposed to have 2200 HP.

Just an fyi. :P

I wanted to have a "real" demo of MMZ by this time...but I don't.

Oh well! A two-dungeon demo should be enough for now.

In terms of that battle system I would prefer an FPS view simply because I really was not a fan of the little characters running up to attack the enemy.

Haha, oh yesss... I totally prefer FPS over charasets in battle. Not that I really hate them, I just think that they are too little, unless you use FF monster rip offs.

The only time the charasets in battle is when you attack with your person, but other than that, it's first-person.

This look was born completely out of laziness (I just didn't feel like making charasets anymore), but I think it turned out okay.

Star Ocean: the Second Story was an amazing amazing RPG, and probably one of the best for the PSX.

I wouldn't say that, but it was very enjoyable once the story picked up. The characters were really unique, minus a few bores (Diaz and Ernest, in particular).

SO2 was definitely better than the mess that was SO3, though.

Nudity in Games

Nudity in games wouldn't bother me at all, though it's nothing I would do.

I guess it just depends on how it's used.

[REVIVED] Complete Chaos

It was going to be, but then came Vanity.

After Vanity and MMZ are gone, my RPG-making days will be over, and I say that with certainty. It'll give me more time to play other people's games.
