my time: anytime that isn't 1:00-3:00pm minus 4-8 hours for sleep and 1 for food

I know, I'm a freak

my progress today: did all the eventing for the really huge map I made yesterday, if I still have time before 1:00pm, I'll also database some enemies and a new boss

I'll likely have a time that's different then "almost 24/7" once I get the demo completed, right now I'm just extremely eager to get SOMTHING out there for people to play

Chopsticks? Have you ever used them?

Yeah, I'm not that great with them but I refuse to ask for the fork

its like admitting defeat

-takes a bow-

we can always use more reviewers

welcome to the site fellow new person

have you ever lost hope in your project

I'll never truly know to the answer this question until I get my demo out and people start playing it

I'm confident but you never know exactly how somthing will be recieved

whatever happens though I'll stick with the project and see it through to the end

I have tough skin, and at the very least I know that I really like it

How about this; are there any cliches that you LIKE?

Where would Final Fantasy 7 be if it didn't have a Sephiroth?!

Probably more interesting.

I'll second this

How about this; are there any cliches that you LIKE?

you have to collect X number of ancient magical whatevers in order to X and defeat X

I suppose if I had to pick one cliche to like it'd be this one, especially when the game gives it an interesting twist (Paper Mario TTYD) or it is only one part of a much larger story (Mother 3)

from a game maker's perspective, its a great way to get the charecters to visit a large number of different and interesting locations, but I think it should only be used as a plot device for a large chapter and not the whole game as LOTS of games have done this before, its not a bad cliche but its still a cliche after all

Oceanus

I remember this...

XP or VX?!

there are different tile sets available for VX that the game will allow you to import into your game

also there is a way to change the battle backgrounds, not quite sure what it is but if you go to the VX forums and ask they'll tell you

VX allows you to change almost everything through scripting or its resource management feature, plus I hear its much easier to use then XP

I'd say go with VX, but if you're really not sure then download both and pay for the one you like better

so what Jakester said is false. I believe there is even a script that allows you to import as many tile sets as you want, again I just heard about it on the VX forums, you'll need to go there to find the script

The World Tower

I made really good progress today, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can get as much done tomarrow and I might just get the demo out before my estimate

The World Tower

I said I would in a week or two

my current estimate is 8 days
