Anime for someone who doesn't really 'like' anime.
I highly recommend Death Note. Deep story and multifaceted characters, definitely not your typical anime.
As for the "historical" stuff, I'd go with Basilisk and Rurouni Kenshin. One for Ninja and one for Samurai, respectively.
Sci-Fi/Mecha: Code Geass and contrary to popular opinion, Gundam Wing. I didn't care for Gundam Wing back when it was on Cartoon Network, but as I got older I learned to appreciate it's story and unintentional humor. If you like something short, action packed, funny, and adventurous, go with Zoids: New Century Zero. It's sister series is Zoids: Chaotic Century/Guardian Force, which is just as action packed, but longer and more serious.
Now for Western inspired animesque cartoons, I'd go with Avatar the Last Airbender and dare I say RWBY. Both are surprisingly well done.
Some of the other aforementioned ones were good as well, such as Monster, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, and Trigun.

Can you please tell me how to shoot diagonally with the keyboard, I can only do L, R, Up, D.
Press 2 directional keys at the same time. For example, Up+Right and Down+Left

This is coming along a lot faster than I thought is would. I'm really looking forward to the Arena and the Lunar Expanse(I never played the GBA version).
Well the Lunar Expanse is a new thing that has nothing to do with the GBA's bonus "Lunar Ruins" dungeons. The Lunar Expanse is basically a final boss rush, except that it includes not just Final Fantasy final bosses, but final bosses from other Squaresoft and Enix games.
The game IS coming along quite faster than even I expected. Right now I'm currently up to the Underworld. If I can keep this up, the game will be done far sooner than expected.
Well alright, that's even better news! Keep up the good work.

Thanks. Man, I haven't had that good of a fight in a long time. Kinda gave me flashbacks of the SMT Nocturne fiend battles. It came down to the wire, as Reviel was the only one left standing. I just followed the strategy I spoke of previously and was able to pull it off. I might just do a New Game+ with solo Reviel and see how well I can do.

Is there any way to stop True Twilight? Are there more effects to that move other than resurrecting them and what seems like negating my accessories?
Nope, there's no way to stop True Twillight in Round 2. The only way to win is to either kill them one after another in quick succession of kill them all at once.
And yep, you pretty much figured out the effects of True Twillight.
Thanks for the feedback. I seem to have noticed something else, though it didn't come as a surprise;
Looks like they are immune to all status ailments, including Delay. I guess my only recourse is to focus on each one individually to figure out their HP and then find a way to survive long enough to take them all out at once.

What a game! I stumbled upon this gem last weekend and I've already played 38 hrs(mind you I have a full time 8 to 5er). I'm currently preparing for bonus boss #2.
Anyway, thanks for the top notch translation job eplipswich! This game deserves a whole lot more recognition and exposure. It's easily one of the best games on this site and one of the best RPGs, in general, that I've ever played. Nocturne will surely be a Misao magnet.
