Battle system preview
I like this! The characters look cute and are nicely animated, the menu design is simple and neat, it all works very well together really... just a couple of observations though, you should center both parties better on the screen (they're a bit to the left now) that way not only will look better but the pop-out command menu won't obstruct the visibility of the enemies to the player.
Also, the damage/heal numbers digits are too spread out and that makes them difficult to read; but In the other hand the "dodge" message (and I assume other as well) is too big... Actually, both these elements should have the same size, so find a nice in-between and you'll be all good. =)

Stage 2 done
Cool! The explosions are a nice touch, one I hadn't seen before in games like this, (well, I haven't played many of them) You know what else would be nice? If regular enemies could randomly explode like that when destroyed, that way the player will think twice before just shooting its way through waves of enemies... just an idea though.
Also, in case you're taking suggestion... now that you have the "outer space" and "alien base" levels, how about a "inside the beast" level to wrap the demo up, you now with fleshy walls and a brain or heart to shoot at the end of the stage. =)

One-Eyed Kitty Leaving
Mmh- I'm suspicious about this... something tells me you're just faking this whole thing to justify having a pirate cat as your avatar. >.>;
Nah. I hope you recover soon from whatever ails you. Good luck! =P

An appeal to fans

I'm sure you're excited but there's very little excuse for posting three relatively unimportant sprite edits in rapid succession. You'll find that quite a few people are touchy about their screens being shoved off the main page...
Edit:
not sure how to even update this if people will complain that i'm... updating my page.
Just update less often and with more "worthy" material, like long blog posts or screens of your game... for such simple things like asking for help or showing sprite edits is why the forums are for, there are already dedicated threads in there for those purposes, or you can always start your own, I guess.
Poll blog #1
Well, I guess 'option 2' would be more like a "DC experience", right? and while I like DC I also have to admit that a game with no fights feels kind of weird, so I'll vote for 'option 1' instead ...Then again, why don't you try with a full action battle system? That would be really cool! ...If you can find one that would let you apply in real time all the previous ideas you had for the battles that is. -_-;
ABS Fun Times: Respawning enemies and death effects.
Wohoo! Vaporized dogs! This looks very rad indeed, especially the mapping, I could never do maps this awesome using this chipset... The ABS looks very simple so far, but I guess you're not quite done with it yet. Here are some suggestions: What about having a secondary weapon, like a knife or something, just in case. Or the ability to launch a special AoE attack when you're surrounded. And why not a kind of energy shield to reduce/return/restore/whatever some of the damage taken. Stuff like that would be really cool to have when fighting hordes and hordes of radioactive dogs, I suppose...
btw, that little dog is too damn fast, I hate him already. X_x

Stage 1 finally done
This sounds awesome! ...but I'm kinda wondering: Why is there not a video embedded in this post? It would be so much nicer if we could actually watch it. <_>
Edit: Woops! Nevermind, I already saw the video in the main page.

It has begun!
It has begun!
This sounds awesome. I like the idea of restoring a town as you progress in the game, I haven't played those other games you mention were your inspiration but I kinda get the idea from Suikoden 3's Budehuc “castleâ€, but with soul-collecting instead of character recruiting? Either way, I'm sure is gonna be fun; and the best part is how rewarding it's going to be seeing Nabia greener and greener over time, and all in pure rtp goodness no less! Yay! =)
I'm intrigued though, by the number and variety of characters you have already planned for this, and I'm sure you'll think of more. I mean, I can already imagine all the work: dialogs, scenes, etc. that you'll need to get done, it sounds kind of an ambitious project in that regard, especially for one with a 1 month deadline... Then again that's another of your strengths, so I guess I shouldn't worry. Bests of lucks with it! I'll be looking forward to play this. =P
