Gradius X: A Space Odyssey (2018)

Okay, we'll wait... patiently. But I just played this demo and dang, that was creepy! I didn't think the 2nd game had much to do with the first other than a brief mention, but this one seems more like a direct sequel. Am I the only that noticed the same exact words spoken on the phone as Tom in the first game when trying to reach his wife, and the creepy guy that looked like Mask?

Holy shit! I about gave up on BS2, which was beginning to be more epic than the first, and now I see that not only is there still hope for it, but also a possible third! I like the idea of the combo pack for October 31.
The Best Game In The World
Well, can't understand a lick of French, but I tested this out all the same. I lied, I understood Save and Megadrive (good ole Sega). Played through when he woke up a second time. That's just trippy. Fingers crossed for an English edition.

RPG Maker VX: Yun Sum Maker Series

I hope they do a futuristic style set.
My point exactly!
First, I have not and will not purchase this, so my opinion has been solely based on what others have said as well as looking over the website where these resources can be purchased. There appears to have been a of padding going into this, a complaint mentioned almost on every site that has talked about these new resources (recolors, flips, etc., just using the same resources repeatedly), so the amount of resources promised goes down the drain. Second, while some of the new tilesets are impressive, not all of them are really that great, and a lot of them appear to be similar to the original RTP. Next, you have a Samurai themed pack, but no Asian music to accompany this pack? What good is a samurai theme if the BGM is more medieval and fantasy?
Finally, while I do applaud Enterbrain for continuing to update the use of the VX, it's still severely limited. Unless you are using a SwapXT script (or something similar), you are still limited to just 5 tilesets for the whole game. Now you must pick and choose what you liked about the initial tilesets versus the new, but you can't use them all for a single game. A more impressive move would have been for Enterbrain to alter the editor to either allow swaps to take place or at the very least include 10 total tileset sheets (2 of each letter, so A1-1, A1-2..., B-1, B-2, all the way through E-2). That way you can have both the original and the Samurai pack together, in the event you want an epic game that takes place throughout various cultures. Now, let's say they did that, and sold the package for $80 (both RTP's, an updated editor, extra music, and maybe either include more "down" character sprites or even emo's). That's what I would have considered an upgrade well worth the money. If people already own VX, they could maybe download an update package for $30 or $40 that auto updates their current editor and still include the new resources.
Okay, if they can't do that then I agree with kentona. People are tired of medieval/fantasy settings. Give us a futuristic pack (still need a few world map sets), that includes updated music, enemies, spaceships, charsets... That would be well worth the money as well.

Whoa..
It's all in how you use the resources. I've seen a lot of really VX games come out with their RTP, and a lot of lousy XP games as well.
