Backstage II Review
Backstage II Review
You could always write them as novels, assuming you have enough filler to extend it out. But in any case, I really didn't know the whole saying myself, I knew there was one and that "weird" has the e before I, so I googled it as I wrote the review. This is the saying I came across, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are all sorts of variations as is typically common with other sayings:
I before E, except after C,
Or when it sound like 'A', like in Neighbor and Weigh,
Or when it sound like 'Ear', like in the word Weird,
Unless it sound like 'Eek', like in Duncan Sheik!

Backstage Review
So just to confirm, the 3 endings are all part of the flawed ranking system, correct? Meaning I can't get anything beyond Revenge? Or are they separate from the ranking.
If there is a way to get Redemption in spite of the flawed ranking, I'm curious to know how and would definitely replay the game for that ending.
Edit: Just saw your posting to my BS2 review so now I know there should be a way. I think I've gotten two endings then:
1. Revenge, save the girl by giving her the pills.
2. Remain by igoring the girl when I venture through the 4th floor without her.
I don't recall any other opportunity for redemption. It may be helpful to post a small spoiler category on how to get the redemption ending, but that's just a suggestion. In any case, is there something I missed?

Balmung Cycle Part I: The Messenger and the Heretic
Can somebody please help me. In the Verdani Ruins, when you first confront Rasvelga, I cannot beat him. I'm assuming that fighting at this point is not an option (the guy has almost 100,000 HP, way too high for a fight this early into the game) but I can't run either.
Is there something I need to do in order to get passed this?

Eden Legacy IV: Return To Eden
In response to sbester's blog, I'll also say that if we don't get the novellas completed prior to the trilogy package, we'll either create a separate download once they are completed or include them with the EL4 download.

Well, considering the jailed FF character is staring at the wall, and Link is green so he's blending with the environment, unless Link screams in his high pitch OOT voice, he shouldn't have any problems.

I really have to agree with sbester. It's not like the game is commercial, for starters. Unless you're a spriter, there's not many options to choose from, especially when you want to make an epic game in NES style. And looking at this, I really think they blend in fairly nicely, considering I've never played a Pokemon game before in my life.
Eden Legacy II: Children of Eden Review
I should never write a review right after finishing a game.
My second paragraph should have finished with "there are definite ups and downs with both games".
My previous review was for Retro Quest, another one that I reviewed after extensive playing. On that one I forgot to provide a score. Oh well, guess I'm becoming senile.
