You're already lucky I'm wasting my time and disk space for your most likely shitty game, the least you could do is make it easy to delete when I inevitably decide it ain't worth my time.
Yeah, I agree. Developers are sharing their work for here, for free and we should be thankful for that. I guess people think they are owed some special entitlement. The disk space can always be easily be recovered (pressing alt and delete, and confirming is hard?) and the time spent ... well, that was your bad choice. Easier to be whiny about it, I guess.

I also don't care having intrusive narrators, characters that realize they are in a RPG, voice-overs (not all of them are bad, most end up being really annoying). I am with Tonfa regarding vague/bad or non-existing descriptions of items, skills and spells. Also, games featuring too many or not enough items, or, too much or not enough money.

Whoops, disregard my sign up... I uh, didn't read the dates...
DG, hopefully you don't do that when signed documents. Otherwise, you could be signing off your life savings away. I was kidding of course, it could happen to anybody. Still, I find it hilarious that it happened to somebody! Live and learn, I guess.

i don't know about wasting time necessarily but i do kind of dislike having to install games, especially when they were built in an engine that easily supports direct play. it just seems like one of those weird pseudo-professional affectations people put on to seem like they're "in the big leaguues" as they say, like when you get this big opening credits sequence with the same name repeated over and over. BLOGGS GAMES PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS. A SAM BLOGGS PRODUCTION. SAM BLOGGS: LEAD WRITER. SAM BLOGGS: DEVELOPER. SAM BLOGGS: MAPPER. MUSIC BY NOBUO UEMATSO. it's a small thing but i think people should appreciate the good parts of being small freeware developers instead of pining for some gross imaginary corporate status.
Personally, I would like all games have their credits at the end of the game or in some readme file. Although, in truth speaking, many games don't even bother to put credits anywhere.

I seem to have fallen behind in keeping this up to date. Since last time, I managed to do a whole playthrough of Max McGee's To Arms! demo using the default party. It was quite a challenge, but my perseverance paid off. I wanted to prove that it was possible. I'll put on hold testing the other combinations and providing non-combat feedback until sometime next week.
I still owe a couple of reviews (can't seem to get inspired to write them!). I haven't heard from mongoosezxc (the message is still pending to be checked). Played a bit more of Linkforce's Carpe Diem, Episode 1. I also managed to play two Game Gale entries, Everguard's Escape from Middle School (7th grade difficulty):
http://rpgmaker.net/games/2093/
and SorceressKyrsty's Darkseed: Revival (hard difficulty):
http://rpgmaker.net/games/2081/
I have provided feedback for the first one and will be sending it later today for the second one.
I also found out that there's a new version of Rhyme's SkYscrapeR with more puzzles and an editor to make your own puzzles. I have also downloaded the demo for hirschmonsta's "S.T.D." responding to a request for feedback:
http://rpgmaker.net/games/2099
I hope to be able to play both this weekend.
The other game I am waiting on but, at least, have heard something from is Drakonais's The Tiamat Sacrament.

I definitely like what you did with the new version and you can pretty much disregard anything I said earlier. I guess the reason why you mapped it this way, I suspect, is that the point in between Fisticuff and Hear Me Roar will be the starting point for navigation. I like the idea that you can only follow the lines.
One final suggestion would be that somewhere in this map or the picture that comes up from selecting the skill, the currently available AP should be visible.

In terms of battle issues, when the battles are random, I hate both extremes: you barely have taken a step and you have to fight again; you need to walk a good portion of the map before facing a battle.
Also, when the game uses ATB, I dislike it when there's no passive option (or it isn't it by default, at least) and when the turn bars are very slow.

What RMN game are you playing now?
Since I have my own gameplay topic (which by the way is a little behind), I'll be contributing mostly in terms on commenting on what others are playing, especially if I have actually played it, even if it was way back when.
It's been quite a while since I played Dhux's Scar, but I also remember the save point issue. I don't think I got around it the way you did, though. Yeah, I got the normal ending and agree that the plot was superb (quite unexpected and somewhat shocking). I probably wouldn't mind playing it again just to get the B ending.
Yeah, I also had an issue with the title. Can you believe there was a screenshot in the game page that had the default Game Over screen? We set the developer straight, as you can imagine, and it was changed. It's a good example of a no-no for all developers out there. Also, I have found that even if you want to beat it, you might not be able to because of an issue. I haven't received confirmation from the developer yet whether it is the case or not.

I just finished Dhux's Scar. PE was an interesting idea that I don't think really worked out right. Save points were rarely at logical places with regard to saving PE (i.e., the beginning and end of a zone) so the effect was mostly to make me run away from everything in a zone until I reached a save point, then backtrack to that save point until I had to move on. Which was a bit tedious.
(The zone with enemy groups with multiple multitarget stun users may have contributed to this caution.)
Anyway, as my caution would suggest I got the B ending. The plot was really well done; despite the above and some other caveats (bosses really dragged, especially the storyline-only ones) I enjoyed it.

I was playing Aw(e)some Quest.
I thought it would be a funny game, but it most certainly is not. The dialogue is bad and confusing, the battles long and monotonous, and the graphics bland and on occasion clashing. And although I haven't beaten it(and don't plan to) it seems to be long and repetitive.
