Let's see, I got all the quests at the same time from the guild. Then I went to talk to each questgiver but they didn't say anything when I tried to talk to them about the quest, but the notes regarding the quests appeared when I checked. Then I went to do all the quests in the forest close to the town. First I killed the stalker with the strange name. Then I went to find the strange tree to save the kid. I killed the kidnapper and got this error message (see screenshot):

So given that I couldn't do that quest, I went ahead to get slime bits. When I went back to talk to all the questgiver (except for the one related to the rescue mission, for obvious reasons) and again nothing about the quest. So I proceeded to restart from the first save and got the quest for the slime bits and went to talk to the magic shop owner and this time she finally talked to me about what I needed to do for the quest. In a sense, my suspicion, I guess is right. If you get one quest at a time, you can do them all. If you get more than one at once, they'll be messed up and undoable, which I think IS the bug that I was mentioning to you.

Personality traits are your call, as are major decisions regarding your sidequest.

Cool, I'll see what I can come up with ...

That sounds good. Unfortunately I have never played, but reading the wikipedia description of Edgar, I like it! Would it also involve the womanizing aspect, though?

Hmmm... What was it? Oh, I did make a new patch earlier today with 21 bug fixes. LOL.
I suck at making games... ">_>
I'll send you the new file now, so it might actually fix it.
I'll send you it via PM.

OK. Since I need to restart the game anyway, I'll try your new version. Perhaps you have that fixed in that one.

I didn't realize you had another project going. Good for you! I would like to claim the engineer. I was wondering what you had in mind for it? I advocate for it to be a problem-solver of sorts.

xD yay! Lol. Hope you enjoy it. ;)
I'm aware of a few bugs, but don't worry... None of them are major.
And they are fixed in a new patch.

I have started playing it last night and ran into something. I'll try something else to be sure before letting you know whether there's an issue or not.

No worries about the mistake. My experience was similar to this review (combat had the same flow of attack/heal but instead of having difficulty I breezed through everything), but yes this goes without saying really, people have different standards and tastes. No one is going to experience a game the exact same way which is why it's important for the developer to get feedback from as many people as possible in order to improve their work. This includes positive and negative feedback as long as they are detailed (this applies to both types) and to me both this and FG's review are well thought out and carefully constructed reviews written by people with vastly different tastes and standards.

Thanks for overlooking my moment of madness. I know see your point of view regarding reviews and feedback, which I wonder whether applies to other developers as well. Although, I'll respectfully disagree with your assessment of the review here.

I did not write a review.

Sorry, honest and careless mistake! I have edited my comment above to reflect that. But one thing that you'll probably agree with me is that in the review here they had a completely different gameplay experience than you, DE and me had. Agreed?

"Omega Configuration grants the best battery management and Control out of all Celestial Configurations. Omegas can use their innate pyrokinetic abilities on a vehicular scale from a Jackhammer."

Please tell me how when you read this statement you knew exactly what the class description meant despite the fact that these terms are not introduced during the intro. If you're saying that you figured out what the stats meant after you played for a while that's another matter but the problem remains that someone playing for the first time has become stuck in a class they don't understand.

Reviews do not exist for the sole benefit of the developer.

Obviously, from the description, there is no obvious way to figure what effect choosing that configuration will do. That you do afterwards, seeing what skill and passive stat change was produced by choosing it. One thing here to consider is that Max put a save point just before making that choice, so nobody is necessarily stuck on a configuration. Otherwise (if for example you overwrote the save when equipping arms and legs), all it would take is to restart the game and about 5 minutes to get back to the point of making the choice.

Yes, I am aware that the review has two audiences: the developers, him/herself, and other gameplayers, potential or otherwise. That's why the reviewer needs to be thoughtful and balanced to account for both of them.

(I can also provide copies of the review via PM for the sake of that whole transparency and KARSUMAN IS A HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING thing.)

EDIT FOR edchuy: the problem wasn't lack of skill - I never died - it was that it was a huge bore. Repeating the same actions over and over for every enemy without thinking is not fun at all, I am sorry.

I don't know what Max thinks of this but at least you are offering your version of the peace pipe. So maybe you might have been taken off Santa Claus' naughty list (??).

Regarding your comment to me, I have to say that the same can be said of 90-95% of the RPGs here. I know that having fun under those conditions is hard, but as a player I can usually find a silver lining other than battles to continue playing (this in reference to the famous Forum topic of whether it is in battles where it all goes wrong which all of you might be familiar with).
