GANONFROG'S PROFILE

I make pixels, write, art unimpressively, and make lists if things that I do in relation to game making websites.

I've gotten a couple of requests from people wanting to see my old Final Tear 3 review, so I reuploaded it here:

Reviewing RMN's Visual Novels

Just submitted the review for Choice. It should be up soon. The review for Alex's Scar is still sitting in halfwritten purgatory until it stops making me want to hurt small things.

@rabitZ: Heh, it happens. Since you noticed, I won't bring it up in the review. No worries.

Final Tear 3 Director's Cut

For 10% of a book to only make up it's cover, that'd have to be a pretty damn short book.

Final Tear 3 = Pat the Bunny?

Dumbest Video Game Twists?{Spoilers}

author=Jude
Isn't the ending in Star Ocean 3 famously stupid?

It's not even so much an ending as it is an incredibly stupid twist that comes halfway through the game, and completely changes the tone of it. Not in a the good Trigun Shift kind of way, either.

It was all a MMO.

SO3 definitely had the worst one I've ever had the misfortune to experience first hand, though Tales of the Abyss had some pretty bad ones in the form of the entire final third of game. Several things happen within it, and they're all bullshit. It's made all the worse by the fact that the game could have very well ended at the 2/3s point with absolutely no changes, and have actually been pretty good. Hell, with the last portion of the game cut out, it's my favorite of the Tales games. It's crushing, really.

What are you thinking about? (game development edition)

@Pentagon: Honestly, that game sounds pretty awesome. Now I'm kind of curious what kind of gameplay advantage going into corpse mode could have. I guess it would depend on how functional you are as a blob of gore.

If, in a futuristic setting where biological and genetic engineering are relatively advanced, someone were to release a virus or series of viruses containing synthetic genetic material into the world with the intention of inducing some kind of mutation or "disease" within a large group of people, not with the goal of killing or inconveniencing them, but rather to cause a dramatic change in the way they function, would they realistically be able to do so, and what, exactly, would the change be?

geez that sentence was long and clumsy

Nothing convoluted going on here. Nope.

This has been my favorite drawing of anything on this website since the moment it was uploaded.

I agree that the lines look fine like this, though I'm on AE's side about the head. It's a little bit past what I can excuse as just being part of the anime style, mostly because of the position of her hips. If her body is proportioned as it looks right here, then it's nearly 2/3rds the size of her torso. It just looks rather off.

Otherwise she looks pretty good, though perhaps a little too Lightning-esque. The designs of her jacket is the main offender.

That said, it's awesome to see the use of original portraits. =D

Yeah, the red looks better, I feel. I'm also preferring the lack of map over the picture in the back. It looks less muddled this way and has a bit more balance.

Need a ruined caravan sprite [RMXP]

Handling it. =D

Sprites for a secret project. I'm getting single frames done before animation for the sake of screenshots.
