STOP POSTING HERE SO MUCH

Not exactly! Just because GW is full of jaded cynical elitists doesn't mean the entire forum's moronic. Their equivalent of Moronic Stuff is Post 9/11 World, and even there they don't tolerate spammy forum games like Corrupt a Wish and Rate the Abover Whatever. This is beside the point, anyway. I seriously doubt RMN would go the way of GW just because people tried to branch out more.

Remarkable lines of some video games.

Wanna help me think of a remake- of course you do.

Sounds like a good idea, but don't just make a remake. You could try to recreate the game experience those classics offered, but add you own insight, too. Make new levels, come up with different challenges, why limit yourself to what's been done before? You can mimic the style of the old games without copying them pixel for pixel!

STOP POSTING HERE SO MUCH

I go in Moronic Stuff because I like playing silly little games with other forum-goers. I'll admit, though, I do prefer the more creative stuff than just "Rate the above person's X." This is why I created the Award the Previous Poster thread.

As for not voicing my opinion in other forums, well...that has more to do with me. I don't usually offer my opinion if I don't think it's valid, and I try my best to validate my opinions by hearing those of others first. There's a lot of stuff I don't know, and I only speak when fairly sure of myself. Combine this with my tragically narrow interests, and it's a wonder I post anywhere at all.

I try to be active in the forums' events, but that's about it. I'd like to branch out more, but not much seems to grab my interest.

Your corniest game ever

The corniest game I've ever made would have to be the Other-Dimension Pay Day. It was a board game I drew inside of a calendar planner, and inspired by the board game "Pay Day." It came complete with Potion Shops, quicksand pits, snakes, and all manner of other ridiculous hazards. It was actually pretty fun, although you can't expect much in a board game from a 10-year-old.

Aw, man, Tellah? Puh-LEEZ. There's, like, already some guy with him as his avvy. Your such a copycat! negative five-billion/10.

EDIT: Poof, he changed it again.

Smash Bros. Tier List

Yoshi didn't suck in Melee! If anything, he got nerfed a bit in Brawl (but they made up for it in other ways).

The main reasons I like Yoshi are that he can hit pretty hard and doesn't go flying very easily. He's a lot different than the other cast members, though, so he takes some getting used to. Anyway, as for...

decent argument
I try to take tiers at face value. I acknowledge that some characters have advantages over others, and some have a greater number of advantages period. But, when you start trying to divide them up and say "this one's ALWAYS better than that one," it stops sounding so convincing. There are far too many variables at play in Smash Bros (including all the characters' stats, the player's skill level, their strategy, the rules/stage/etc.) to definitively say one character is ALWAYS better than another. Applying the tier list to every possible situation in Brawl cannot be done, especially considering the very general terms in which the characters are listed. I don't know how they go about forming the tiers from tourney data, but if I saw the reasoning, then I might be more inclined to accept it.

This is why I don't place a lot of value on tiers. I'll acknowledge what they suggest, but in the end, I want it to be my skill that wins me the matches, not some big important list that supposedly sets the odds in my favor.

Smash Bros. Tier List

So, why should casual players take tiers into account? If tiers are only most relevant in tournaments involving the professional players, then why should anyone care about it except them? I don't think I'll ever find myself in the same match as a pro, and tiers are defined by them anyway, so I don't see how they could ever apply to me. It sounds like its an excuse to say "half the cast sucks no matter what so there because we said so." That's mostly why I'm so opposed to this stance. All the characters have potential, but because these handful of the "best" are singled out, people feel like they have to be the best characters to stand a chance, when it really depends on their skill level as a player.

I also don't think you can compare this to fighting games like Street Fighter, as they're not at all similar in play style. I understand what you're saying, but I think it applies to such a limited number of players (ie the pros) that it shouldn't bother everybody else or influence how they want to play.
