Story Developement: Killing off Characters
Of course it would be good to see a character affected by the death of another! What I hate is when games do the opposite of this, and the remaining characters go on with the story never showing any grief or emotion from what just happened.
How about a Play Something Day?
author=Feldschlacht IV link=topic=1412.msg22685#msg22685 date=1215029970I have heard the argument that "all RM2K games are the same" and it really is just stupid when you think about it. That's what this event should be all about, though. No one knows whether these games are all the same or not without playing them first. By playing them, we sort out the good from the bad and make the bad better with more feedback and suggestions. Or maybe it'll turn out they really are all the same game...but that's still something this event can help to fix.I don't know if forcing ourselves to play a bunch of games is the best idea in the world, man. I think the real problem is that everyone has been making more or less exactly the same RPG Maker 2003 game for the last five years and most of us are sick of playing identical games all the time!People like to say "I'M TIRED OF PLAYING THE SAME GAME" when they've only really played like 3 indie games in the first place. It sounds like good old GWism bullshit to me.
