How about a Play Something Day?
author=tears123 link=topic=1412.msg22483#msg22483 date=1214856139That's the thing, though. Sometimes the good games can't be told from the bad, and this helps to keep anything from slipping through the cracks. This is also to help people with bad games make them better so more people will enjoy them.
Wouldn't making better games mean that it would get played with better comments? >_>

Top Ten Topic: New Characters in Super Smash Bros.
Top 10 people who should've been in SSBB (in no particular order):
1. Ridley - I don't care what they say about awkwardness or size, Ridley should've been a playable fighter. They could've scaled him down to the same size as Bowser (after all, Olimar is usually the size of a quarter, and look at him!), and even making him a clone of Charizard would work (although I never encourage clone characters).
2. Krystal - a Star Fox player that could easily not be a clone of Fox. I don't know a lot about her, but she can fight with a staff (and that's already different). For that matter, they shouldn't have made the Fox characters all have the same Final Smash. They could've given Falco an Arwing instead ("Personally, I prefer the air!") and Wolf could call in an air strike from his cronies. But, what do I know...
3. Tom Nook - I know next to nothing about Animal Crossing, but they could've at least included a fighter for the series, seeing how it has a stage and all.
4. Paper Mario - DON'T THINK 'MARIO CLONE', BUT FLAT. The Paper Mario series has plenty of possibilities for a moveset, and he'd be a fine answer to Toon Link (just forget Dr. Mario, okay?).
5. King K. Rool - DK's villain would make a fine edition to the heavy-weight class of characters, especially with all the occupations he's had in the past.
6. Mewtwo - he was the only unique character from SSBM that didn't come back, and the differences between him and Lucario are enough that they wouldn't have to be clones of one another.
7. Somebody from F-Zero - I don't care who (would probably care more if I actually knew any of them). His series is one of the most overlooked ones on the roster now, and sometimes I even forget he's tucked down there under all the Fox people.
8. Mii - this would've been brilliant. Allowing players to fight as themselves? Or whoever they wanted to look like?! Just give them a universal moveset and varying stats based on height and weight, and you've got a very interesting and flexible character. Also, a 'Mii Parade' Final Smash would be beautiful.
- WARNING! END ZONE OF PLAUSIBILITY -
9. Goomba - Yes, Goomba. The most incapable of foes, a player in a fighting game...picture this:
B - Parachute. Ejects a parachute that bumps away foes. If used in midair, allows Goomba to float gently to the ground, swinging back and forth and hurting those he collides with on the way.
Up+B - Paragoomba. Sprouts wings and flutters about, damaging enemies collided with.
Side+B - Headbonk. Launch sideways to clobber an opponent. If you have good timing with a button press on collision, you cause them to flinch greatly and land a second blow yourself.
Down+B - Spiked Helmet. Whips out a helmet with a spike that damages anyone who hits it. Works like a counter attack.
Final Smash - Tiny Goombas. Itty-bitty Goombas swarm around the stage attaching themselves to the other players. They make moving and jumping very difficult, but don't affect knockback. This leaves them easy prey for Goomba to defeat with normal moves.
10. Madotsuki - She's the main character from the RM2K3 game, Yume Nikki. I doubt you guys have any clue about her, but her moveset has so much potential that I couldn't help but mention her. I won't bother with the specifics, unless one of you knows her deal and is interested in what I've come up with. ;)
And...that's it. There aren't really any others I would add at the moment, even though I still have some good ideas. Sorry for the length of all this, though. End rant.

File Size of RPG's?
I consider it a favor to the people downloading a game that the filesize be small. I don't use any MP3s in my games (at least, not very often) and I've never had a filesize larger than 12 MB. And those are finished games, too!
I think most of this problem stems from people who include things they don't need to that beef up the filesize too much. RMTool does help with that a lot, though.

I want Paperboy.

6.) Birdo - He's a pussy, and he sucks at life
8.) Waluigi - Well, seeing how you already picked up 8 characters from the Mario world... let's see some diversity. And not an old, old wooden ship ;D (sorry, I watched Anchorman the other day.. again...)
12.) Dixie Kong - Too much Donkey Kong already. The only thing she could do was helicopter her way around. Which was freaking slow.
23.) Pokemon Trainer - I really didn't like this idea. They already have pokemon playable, and then having three different characters in one is pushing it.
24.) Pokemon Trainer 2 - If I didn't like the first one, I probably won't support a second one.
27.) Krystal - Well.. no
28.) Wolf - You're so against cloning and he'd pretty much just be another one. He's a pretty cool character, but yeah he wasn't much different from fox.
29.) Sonic - Uhh.. you can keep him, but he's all about speed, why the heck would you slow him down?
30.) Tails - Totally useless character
32.) Dr. Eggman - Wtf would he do? Get his name changed and prance around like a retard like in all his games?
33.) Shadow - I would love having Shadow on there, but why the heck do you want to slow him down too? SONIC SERIES NEEDS TO = SPEED DANG IT!
34.) Marth - I just plain don't like him.
39.) Megaman - He may be an awesome character, but people would whine about what powers he can choose from. All this would do is make more reasons for people to be disappointed.
41.) Dr. Wily - Let's face it, he'd be either a pussy, or ridiculously cheap.
42.) Sigma - One appearance? You need to play possibly the entire X series. Where he showed up in all 8 games. (It could be more, but last I checked, there were 8 ) Also, in a good majority of those games he was a dismembered head.
43.) Snake - Seriously? Ok, someone help me out on this one, when was he actually in a nintendo game? I thought he was always playstation. His brawl ball ability was pretty gay too. 20% is a hefty thing to add per grenade, but... it was still pretty gay. But yeah, I can't remember any game he was in. I'm more than likely wrong and he was in some random game from the SNES days that nobody liked, but since playstation made him awesome then heck why not put him in there they thought.
44.) Olimar & Pikmin - Ehhh... just... no...
47.) Ridley - Ridley would be useless as a character. Possibly as a special feature in one of the Samus related maps. But not as a playable character
There's not really anybody specific I'd like to see on here. I'd like to see Meta Knight get a tad bit stronger since his attacks totally suck. Uhh... also, I think they should've stopped with the pokemon after Pikachu. Pikachu was pretty much the mascot for pokemon (they even made the yellow version just for him) and now people will complain about other pokemon that do/don't appear in future games.
Wow, opinionated.I would agree that some of these characters would be Assist Trophies at best, but geez! Sounds like you hate everybody. Oh, and the very first Metal Gear was on the NES, I do believe. One of the requirements for 3rd-party characters was that they had to be on a Nintendo console at some point.

Well, I agree with some of the ones you wanted to see in there. It's a lengthy list, though, so I'll just state the ones I would've liked to see that weren't already on yours.
Tom Nook - Animal Crossing has a stage and a ton of trophies for its title, but no fighter? Come on! I heard that the developers were uncomfortable with an Animal Crossing fighter, but if Princess Zelda and Peach can hold their own in a game like this, then why not?
Mii - Having a playable Mii would've been incredible. I know they could've done this, too, because they did it in the new Mario Kart for the Wii. The Mii would have it's own moveset (probably derived from Wii Sports), but it would look like one of the ones created on the console. It's strength/weight/speed could all be determined by its proportions, making it very flexible and unique.
Paper Mario - as something of an answer to Toon Link, he could be Mario's second incarnation. However, disregarding the stupid clone rules, he would have a moveset related to the Paper Mario series. There's plenty of untapped potential there. I also think they could've done a lot more with Toon Link, but didn't (Sakurai's excuse: "As a rule, the special moves are all the same.").
Even though there was a lot more they could've done with Brawl, I'm still happy with it the way it is. It may not be the ultimate Nintendo fighter fangame yet, but they've done a wonderful job nonetheless.
And what do you have against Pit and ROB? They're in the same boat as Mr. Game & Watch and Ice Climbers. These characters, while not the most popular, are still part of Nintendo's history, and I think it's awesome that they're willing to tribute their old classics like this.
