The "Here's an idea" thread
I'm sorry, I'm not a rabid frothing at the mouth fanatic of KC(A), but I do acknowledge he makes a LOT of puzzles. I wish I could do a bit more of that in my own dungeons just to vary things up.
I've always wanted to do a crafting system. Not some hack little thing where you find "iron ore" talk to a forge and get "iron armor." But like... where you can make your own stuff based on different variables... your skill, the temp of the forge, the materials used, etc... and have many, many different outcomes, even for iron armor. But that'd be a massive PITA to impliment in rm.
True dual/triple-techs in battles. Without a CBS this is impossible in the chrono trigger sense. There is a not too difficult workaround in the DBS but still, that'd be really, really awesome.
In that same vein, a player-driven SKILL creation system in-game. Not a skill tree, a system that allows players to actually tailor their own abilities.
A class system JUST like final fantasy V. Man that class system rocked. Not impossible to pull off in RM either, just haven't strayed away from the skill tree system yet.

French silk pie. Oh my god that stuff is awesome. I ate an entire pie-full of it once.
Hitting the snooze button on my alarm. In only 8 more minutes, I can get just a tiny bit more of extremely restful sleep. I could do that for an hour every morning if I could. I'm one of those people who can hibernate unless there's an alarm clock.
Did I mention pretty girls? Big hips and small waists make me happy. Lots of T&A is good too.
Finding money I didn't know I had. That 20 dollar bill in my jeans pocket after it goes through the washer is the best feeling ever. Even though I probably just forgot about it and I already possessed it previously, doesn't matter. Still feels like finding buried treasure.
Having an audience doing something awesome. I'm a performer. I love playing music. Best moments are up on stage, in front of large amounts of people listening to me play.

2. Steak. Boy oh boy, I can't get enough of this stuff. Has all eight amino acid components of protein, iron, stuff like that... so it's actually pretty good for you! Every delicious morsel has that soft pinkish tint in the middle and a spiced up fire-grilled outside, yum.
3. Driving fast at night, when no one's around. Can't explain this one! My car has a pretty sweet moonroof, and I love the wind in my hair and my troubles in my dust. Crank up oldies like "Highway Star" and just go. No particular direction, just go.
4. Large-scale, in-person multiplayer games, like Super Smash series, halo, and others. Great fun. It's the nerd's version of having "the boys" over for "the big game" except it's interactive. Can get very rowdy and intense at times, especially if drinking is involved. Priceless moments and memories have spawned from these gatherings of nerds.

RPG MAKER 2000 - Still Kicking

At some point, this site will probably not support RM2k or RM2k3 any longer.
I sure hope this takes place after they've developed an rpg maker that actually takes two steps foward without taking one giant obvious step backward.
Until then, rm2k/3 is a wonderful program. It's pretty easy to work around the limitations of the DBS.

I keep hearing people say press "print screen" for when taking a screenshot, but I don't know where it goes... So, I am using Screenhunter if it seems a little off to you, then that's why.
Anyways, just a picture of the "uping attribute" system I am making for my game or just for the hell of it really...
I say it is about 70 to 80 percent finished. This is something big for me as I stopped being lazy an actually tried to figure something out.
Hah. Everyone uses those icons. That and Fire emblem faces. 'Cept I did before it was cool. ;)
