HOW TO ADD SILENCE TO STUFF THAT SHOULDNT LOOP:
.MID files:
Use a midi notation program (finale, cakewalk, midisoft studio, sibelius) and add a Crap load of empty measures with a silent note at the end of the last measure. Midi files are always small, so don't worry about adding ~100 empty measures. Even if there are empty measures at the end, RPGmaker will automatically loop the first and last actual note. So you need to include a silent note at the end of the last empty measure.
Digital Audio files: MP3, WAV, OGG:
Easy to do. Any digital audio editor (most standard custom sound cards come with one in their software package) can add silence to the end of tracks. Heck, Windows comes with a wav editor that can do this. This is more risky since digital silence adds a lot to filesize. Add 10-15 seconds tops.
OR:
To avoid this paradox altogether (since I use digital audio exclusively now) I just write battle themes that are enjoyable to listen to repeatedly, and don't include victory jingles. I just keep playing the battle theme through the whole sequence.

The menu system you have for assigning skills (elements?) to the:

is quite intriguing. Explain.

What inspired your RPG?
My all-time favorite RPGs of the SNES golden era have been played through and beaten by me too many billions of times, but I'm absolutely in love with the genre. Probably the biggest inspiration for making LoD1 and LoD2 is to create something along the lines of those games, but do it myself so I can determine every last thing about them, which was something I DREAMED of doing every day as a young teen playing those for the first time.
Hero:Chronicles of Rose
Looks pretty solid.
I'd just like to be the first to mention the Game Title's similarity to "Rose Chronicles." Come on, we were all thinkin it :)

Final Fantasy IV (DS)
OH MY GOD.
Words cannot express the feeling of awe.
*in shock* This is probably the far and away top game in my life in terms of nostalgia. In its era, it was only bested by its own sequel. And maybe not even then.
Golbez looks amazing!

I'm playing #7 on this list for the 5th hour straight today on my day off.
Last one I played in the RTK series was 4.
I'm like... in love.
I hadn't seriously played one since IV, which was awesome, until I inherited a PS2 and bought X. X is pretty awesome and has a lot of RPG elements, but XI is awesome and has a lot of ass kicking (and more style).
Bottom line: Romance of the Three Kingdoms is awesome.
Oh hell ya. Asskick-fest.
I never knew destroying an army would cause a massive explosion, with fireball and all. ...Lots of explosions in RTK XI.
