Tough choice, but I think the 2nd one is best as well.

Free keys and some updates! [EVENT CLOSED]

Oooo, Update!

I would love a free key for this!

Everlong

Transferring a save from version 3.30d to e results a hanging menu screen. the cancel button wont let me exit out of it.

Everlong Review

You can quite easily disable the counterattack feature in the options menu of the latest version, and if you think that's too much of a cop out, you could just read the tactics section of the options menu: it will explain the damage formula of any attack used on the party.

FAKE EDIT: Actually, are you playing a recent version? Not to be condescending or presumptuous, but I can't help but think this reads like you're playing v3.27, which is vastly inferior to the completely re-balanced and reworked v3.30a-e, which has features that (I think) make most of your battle complaints moot. (I.E. the help section in the options menu, counterattack/difficulty settings, the rebirth system, etc.)

Let's break the silence. This game is almost finished.

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Ah, the DQ death system, quite the bittersweet experience... especially when that one trick bag decides to crit you the one time you forgot to heal.

Too derivative for commercialization?

  • Adventure with 4 different parties that you can switch between anytime, even in boss battles!
  • Play as 4 powerful Heroes throughout a five chapter story, each with their own akillset & battle commands!
  • Customize your heroes' party by selecting from 21 unique character classes split between the mage, warrior, and rogue specialties, including unlockable "master" classes!

Not sure if these are good bullet points That sell HR unique features, but I tried :p
For what's it's worth, I think making the game menu look custom goes a long way; I've been around on steam, and the player base gets omni-pissed when they see RTP Menus. Also, advertise gameplay time, rpg fanatics love games they can dig their teeth into.

But honestly, I'm thinkin your game might sell itself considering these games' features are reminiscent of yours:
Gameplay wise:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/318130/Doom__Destiny/
http://store.steampowered.com/app/266230/Last_Dream/
Story/Humor wise:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/107310/Cthulhu_Saves_the_World/

And these are seemingly pretty successful.

EDIT:damn, lordbluerogue ninja'd me, and he has a better post... :(

Thanks for the feedback, kalledemos. I must admit, I added the script that changes battle difficulty at the tail-end of development as an afterthought. I was hoping it might appeal to those who found the battles too hard, but I didn't test it much. Did you fight the same set of enemies twice, once on one level and once on another?

The gloves don't actually increase the chance of a successful steal, only the chances of getting an item rather than Etherum when you do pull one off. It sounds like you're right about the bad luck in landing the steal.

Glad to hear you're having fun. It always makes my day to hear that. I hope to hear back from you again as you progress. Thanks again for playing.

Yep, tested with the same mob on different difficulties, and got the same exp and etherium :/

Ah, I see, I must've misunderstood the description.

It's been a little while since I played, but I'll give it another sit-down quite soon!

How do I get your game to open? I have a (legal) copy of 2003, but when I try to run your game I consistently get the message that the RTP is not present or not registered - even though I can see it on my HD.

Thanks.
