How do you feel about only one gender as playable characters
I've played oblivion for a pretty decent amount of time but I'm one of those people who wants to change my character completely every few hours so save files rarely last for long. I find it REALLY hard to believe that Origin says that I've played The Sims 3 for over 400 hours, but I don't have a single save file that goes past on generation.

I haven't played Skyrim either. It feels like I'm missing out on an entire world but I just haven't had the time(or money...) to play it yet.

I didn't expect the topic to go like this... but I'm glad I got to hear so many peoples opinion. I'll try and keep some of these things in mind when writing female characters.
PS - I can't believe somebody else actually likes FF X-2 more then X! I though I was the only one.

I'm still writing the plot of my game so I haven't finalized any of the characters, but I plan to have an all female cast simply because that just what I'm use to. I agree that an entire cast of just one gender can get very weird. Have you heard of hyperdimension neptunia? I'm not very familiar with the series but from what I have seen, it takes it gets really uncomfortable since the cast is all female.

Thanks your you're input guys. Its funny that you say that most people expect white guys as the main characters, cause in like EVERY create-a-character, I always seem to create a Japanese dude since that's what I usually see. Its not because the games I play are racist, it because Japan doesn't have as much people of different races like America.

I play a lot of Touhou. As some of you may know, almost all the characters in Touhou are girls. It made me curious, how does everyone feel about only girls as playable character (or only boys).
Final Fantasy IV - VX
This kind of thing happens ALL the time on this site. I've been waiting for a game for 3 year and a demo hasn't even been released. I guess when life gets in the way, the drive dies away for some people.

[RMVX ACE] A game where the main character isn't playable
I know what you mean. Have you played Dead Moon Night? Its a game on this site. You control a character on the field that doesn't fight in any battles, but still adds to the plot. I'm going to make my main character like that. But I want her to play sort of a support role a little like Marona( I've played Phantom Brave, great game). Like I mention earlier, I want her to provide support role similar to Rise from Persona 4.
