Here's some Harmonic music

Actually if you analyze it harmonically, ascending minor 3rds are the name of the game. I go from F#-A-C-D#-back to F#. And actually this is the same sampler I've always had, this genre is just more suited for it.
Touche!! =\ I don't know what to say. I was trying to come up with something clever but I think you've won this round.
So what project is this for man?
Also should I edit my first post it really is kind of pointless :(

So I listened to this and holy shit man you have gone soo Hollywood it isn't even funny. Good job overall I guess but I liked your catchy, jazz, RPG music a lot more. Really this is good music though. I'm surprised that you stayed within one key area all the time because usually you are all about HEY GUYS WE NEED JAZZ CHORDS (which is fine by me). But don't take this the wrong way because we're splitting hairs between I like this and I really liked your other music a lot.
Sounds like you got a decent sampler too. What are you using in this? I remember a year or two ago you were pretty down about not having a decent sampler.
So A+ will buy again.
ALSO I AM STEALING IT AND PUTTING IT INTO MY GAME

And obviously Resident Evil 2. It's kinda funny because I think I've played every single Resident Evil game on a Nintendo console, no that was a lie because Nemesis was on the Playstation. Another reason it's above the N64. I'm a Resident Evil fanboy I guess.
Yeah seriously the Resident Evil series is incredibly good. The games are pretty averagely decent as far as play goes (except for Nemesis and RE:4 which are purely and legitimately fun to just play through), but they are really good games to get deeply into. The recent games have crazy special modes like Mercenaries that are as much fun and as long-lasting as any full top-down shooter and the huge diversity in ways you can tackle each game is astounding.
Resident Evil games are the sorts of games where the fourth time through one you realize that you have manage to beat Nemesis with the pistol and knife the first time he attacks you and that even though the game is designed for you to *not* do that, the designers accomodated you and offer sweet rewards. You can always download a FAQ and get it all spelled out for you, but I think one of the real charms of RE games is that their secrets are not really that *secret* but are rather things you will invariably stumble onto after a couple playthroughs.

My issue with this, is that it's fairly uncreative. They spent all this time and effort to... take other peoples' characters and put them into a premade fighting engine that is all about giant ridiculous super movies.
If they really wanted to impress, they should have designed their own characters.
Also, the midget characters look dumb with that high of resolution.
Super Smash Bros (come on man it's the same thing).

I really like the idea of making camp in certain areas across longer dungeons - though saving may be tricky as any saved games within a dungeon would not be carried across to the next release (the home hub was going to be the only official save area in the game, and fixed location in all releases in order to provide consistancy in the 'save here and simply move the file across between releases' tack.) Perhaps we could look at some dungeon-only items that crop up and are dropped at the end of each dungeon, such as a dungeon map, compass, special keys, a ring (such as seen in the Tales Of series to solve puzzles, etc) that are recurring and add some consistancy to levels.
I'm quite taken plot-wise with the suggestion of a world covered in darkness and there only being one point where the sun shines - and now it is unexpectedly pulling back to reveal new areas. It's more original than the mist version and adds some interesting questions to the overall state of the world. Especially since the hero is given a choice between light and dark at the start of the game to decide which areas he is stronger/weaker in depending on the mode of the dungeon (and certain puzzles).
If we give it until monday morning for game plot premise and name suggestions to be made in this thread and then start settling ideas, we'll be able to push ahead after that point. So come on people, give us what you've got ;)
I hate everything about this project because it is made in an outmoded and illegal game design environment but:
I have an idea to flavor your premise.
The planet the game takes place on was previously tidally locked to the sun. This causes the sun to shine only on one half of the planet with only a small portion of it habitable due to the dark part being ridiculously cold and also you know dark (on bodies like our moon, for example, shadows can be thousands of degrees colder than areas that the light touches). Mysteriously one day the planet starts rotating again so now exploration of the dark side of the planet is possible. You start on the warm pole of the planet where people have always lived. The journey starts on the fringes of what was previously the dark area (the "dusk" area) and make your way to the other side of the planet. On the exact opposite pole lies the climax of the game.
This premise gives you perfect license to make all sorts of alien, exotic environments. It is provides a unique, scientific explanation for a premise that is otherwise fairly impractical.
But do whatever you want guys Rm2k3 is stupid :(

Welcome to the forums.....
I have a question if you inject kyrosene into a cat and then shoot it, will it explode?
One of life's many mysteries
No. Mythbusters actually did this once and demonstrated that it is *possible* but that your chances are about 1 in 1 million or worse.
