Words you know, but don't know the meaning of
Tattoos
We should show off our ink to each other. I don't know if we have had a thread like this before. Maybe we have? Well we need a new one.

Post an interesting fact about yourself!

I turned 26 today :(
It's all downhill from here :(
What is wrong with you? Are you having a personal crisis at the age of 26?? You have been an adult living on your own for like 3 years. You have only had a viable career since like . . . last summer? You have barely even started life and you are already worried that you are over the hill and past your prime.
Unless it is a joke!
What kind of weapon would you use?
This topic is awesome because of the like . . . learned debate about which weapon is better than which other one and in which situation even though we have no experience outside of swinging padded wooden swords at each other and that $20 katana we found at a flea market.
Also even though I am 100% inexperienced I still cannot choose because it depends on the situation. If I were mounted, I would want a battle axe to swing down on my opponents' heads. If I were on the defensive and on foot I would want a spear to protect myself from cavalry and to stab or trip the charging opponent before he got to me. If I were charging I would want a sword and shield so I can turn away my opponent's spear and then engage him where I am too close for him to fight back. There is no all-around weapon. If I had to choose one it would be a sword of some kind because there must be some reason why it is so ubiquitous across all cultures!
And now I am thinking about this and . . .
It is disgusting guys. Like think aboout this. You are like, "I would fight with a bo staff!" That means that you will need to crush somebody's skull with it. You would need to smash somebody's face in, either killing him outright or at least disfiguring and blinding him. Or, you will need to stab him with your sword. Or cut off his arm. There will be blood and viscera all over you. Do you know what a person smells like after you have cut him open? Do you know what guts and blood and death smell like? And add to that to smell of urine and shit because people soil themselves when they die violently. Like . . . I don't think we are stopping and thinking about how horrible it is to be on a battlefield and killing other people with handheld weapons. Or worse, being injured by one. What if you get stabbed in the crotch with a lance and your genitals are mutilated? That's it, man. You can go on with your life but you have a horrible wound from which you will never recover. And it only took two seconds for it to happen. We are sort of glamorizing this but life is not an anime or a video game and we do not have limit breaks!

Some problems
S4D Returns To RMN! Ditching GW In The Process! :)
Welcome back!
The is not really true. GW receives only slightly more traffic overall, but probably receives a fraction of the game making-centric traffic that RMN does.
Also jesus christ it is not like RMN and GW are separate buildings and you can't be inside of both at the same time. There is rivalry and you and WIP are the only people that think so (seriously nobody at GW thinks there is a rivalry so how can there be one).
Also it is not good that WIP is gone. He made this site. Don't trash him! :(

the fact that GW beats you in traffic!

How about this; are there any cliches that you LIKE?
I think you guys need to stop using words like "boss" and "dungeon" and "save point" all the time. You are thinking in terms of one very very specific game design, and not about the principles of game design in general.
