Advice fir craetibg a costom menu for 2K3
I decided to finally get around to making my own Menu screens for a skill learning system. It will be you're simple skill tree where you spend points to learn new spells and abilities, nothing mind-blowing.
I have the basics on how to do it... I think. I just need some advice on the best way to go about it. Specifically how to show the number of skill points each character has. You know weather pictures or sprites are better to use, or it theirs a better way of doing it, stuff like that.
Oh and just to make things more annoying let's do it in 2K3 too.

What elements from existing games would you like to see reused?
I might just be insane, but I wouldn’t mind seeing a reworked version of the Junction System from Final Fantasy 8. With a little work I think it could be modified into something interesting that doesn’t completely suck.
On a similar subject. The Dijin/summoning system in Golden Sun. You can keep the dijin equipped to, which boost you’re states and give you new spells, or use them to power powerful (and awesome looking) special attacks. Unfortunately by the end you'd just use them for the awesome summoning attacks, or you'd just really on the weapon unleashes from your regular attacks as both were way better than any spell and cost no MP. Still points for tying.

Ha, what's funny is I also have a playable character named Isabella in my project. Dose yours also have a snarkey older sister too?

I just had a inspiration for one of the 3rd or 5th gym (one of the water ones). What about a Poison gym? The gym could be a chemical treatment facility or oil refinery or something like that along the harbor With the gym leader being a chemical engineer, mad scientist type.

I asked ratty to drop Seirestial if there wasn't any room, since I really couldn't think of an interesting to do with a long serpentine Pokemon design wise. besides we already have a bunch of lung dragon like Pokemon here anyway.
And there not legendary. at least they weren't supposed to be. There actually supposed to be slightly less powerful than the Psudo-legendaries. If that's the rout ratty wants to take I could pump them up a bit. I might have to redo their move sets anyway since they no longer evolve.

I'm disappointed that Dark isn't the final gym, but the having to fight your parent is a better idea and at least their actually is a dark gym.
Actual how about having the mother being the leader and fighting her instead? It would be a nice twist and be nice to see the mom actually do something awesome for a change?
What are you planing for the Elite Four? I think having a Rock Elite Four member would be an interesting choice considering their usually the weakest gym leaders.
