Eternal – Return of the Void

Holly crap! I Just noticed this thing has over 300 downloads. I know that doesn't seam like a lot in light of some of the other games around here, but it makes me feel good knowing there are some people who actually like this project.

...

I better not disappoint anyone then should I?

Eternal – Return of the Void

Appreciate the effort. LWG

I've been working on this for a while now and I've been planing on making another demo with better grammar and treasurer and stuff, some time soon (Although I've been making that clam since 2012 so who knows when it will happen).

I get the disliking the anime music which is why I'm adding an option to change the battle BG to some more classic music. I would like to point out though I didn't pick that track because I like it (although I do) I picked t because I though it would make good battle music, but that's not really relevant.

With the clashing resources... yeah you got me there. I could go and fix everything up, but I just want to get the thing done some somethings (like graphical consistency) will have to be thrown to the curb for the moment.

Oh, and one last thing... this isn't a comedy game. Oh there comedy in it, and there will continue to be comedy, but it's not the focus. Not really. you'll just have to see when more of the game is released. Hopefully.

Do RPGs need a story?

Games can be tacked on in any manner of ways, but without a story, there's no grace... it's just a lab rat plugging a skinner bar for a food pellet.
There can be grace in battle tactics, exploration, and graphics. A story in the sense of "here are some people and their motivations and dialog" is not necessary for good gameplay. The idea that a game NEEDS a story is ridiculous. (And I say this as someone who is a big fan of the story side of games.)

Like say, the first Legend of Zelda game, which is nothing but exploration and it's story - go collect the magic triangles and kill the bad guy to rescue the princes, because we said so - is almost non-existent. And yet still coincided one o0f the best games ever.

Notice how the guy with the controller doesn't care about dialog. The guy without a controller should have his hands on an open book. Your motivation should be 'this game is fun and this is my entertainment.' While reading may be fun to a lot of people, there are different mediums that focus on reading. Like books. All without that pesky combat getting in the way.
Yeah, all those people that like things like "character interaction" and "narration" are just losers that should go read a book and leave the gaming to REAL gamers, who only want to press buttons to hit things until they die.

Or IDK maybe it is possible that there are different ways to tell stories in games, and different ways to appreciate games, and the point of that comic was that people enjoy games in different ways and shouldn't get into a brawl over someone having badwrongfun.

JUST MAYBE

You mean just except other people personal tastes and interests because the fact they enjoy something different from you doesn't hinder the way you engoy something? NEVER!

Pokémon RMN Version

And for those who don't get Cutsman, it's a Captain N reference, made to be slightly more repulsive than his actual appearance in that show.

That is so wrong on so meany levels. Horrifying doesn't begin to describe it.

Being we only have a few days to go and I've done next to nothing so far I'm going to have to graciously bow out of this one.

I wish everyone luck on there reaming projects.

Super Mario Bros. X - The Apocalypse of Foroze Review

Yeah, this game was hard to rate. One the one hand it's difficulty will be a turn off for a lot of people, on the other outside that difficulty it's good.

It's like Dark/Daemons Souls in a way, a game series I like. If you can get past the difficulty your in for a good, if frustrating experience. So despite my criticisms I can't really say the game is bad, but do concede it will in fact be to hard for a lot of people to enjoy.

Edit: Upon further contemplation and spending some more time on this, I've concluded that my original score was indeed a little to high. I still think this game has some quality to it, but the difficulty dose override that for a lot of people.

As Such it's the sort of game that can only be recommended to Mario platforming enthusiasts or people who like really, really difficult games. Everybody else will probably get fed up with this before long.

Romancing Walker

Gona have to review this at one point.

Tales from Zilmurik Review

Hay, didn't I review this game a while back?

An RM Venture

Well since I'm done reviewing things for the moment I might give this a try. Might team up with someone unless someone doesn't mind working with 2K3 and my annoyances.
