Secret exits can, I believe, bring you back to the hub world but in a different spot. So it can still work. You find the secret exit and you end up in a room with some power ups and you fall back into the main area or something.
Maybe if you replace the secret exits with doors. Otherwise, they'll just drop you off at the point where you exited the hub.
Mario's Mansion 3
Gonna make a chimney level. It will autoscroll.
Are we using the default SMW Dry Bones, or should we edit the hit box like we did for SRMNW?

Why your name?

Use a different program to save your GIfs. MS Paint mangles them to hell. You can try Irfanview or Paint.NET, for example.
I started having problems when I moved to the newer version of MS Paint. Switched back to the XP version, and I have no problems now.

nin8halos I'm stealing the stone blocks from your science level.
But my level needs those!
Mario's Mansion 3
author=Ratty524author=SolitayreHow so? The point of the section is to control your jump, where pressing hard on the button won't cut it anymore, while tapping your jump button lightly will bring better rewards.
Re Crush Corridor: There are some jumps in this level I feel lend more towards cheap than challenging. I generally don't find a jump where you risk banging your head on the ceiling to be a fair challenge.
Granted, it leaves a small margin for error, but I don't really agree that it it's more frustrating than challenging.
I had the same problem with Abandoned Pipeworks. It's frustrating when a slight error can result in death, and then you have to start all over again.

Yeah I'm gonna have to nerf that section's difficulty.
Sound effects would be cool, but they wouldn't really tell you anything that your eyeballs can't. And the way events work in SMBX, there would just be a constant buzzing sound.
I think the electricity moves before you can even ask the question which direction it's moving in. Unless SMBX is very slow on your computer.
I should probably slow down the electricity anyway. It's up to you guys; does it move too fast, or is there just too much of it?

The only major problem I have with the electric floor is the complete lack of, for lack of a better phrase, prediction of when they'll show up. No Beep Boop Beep then SCHIKA of electricity sound as a warning.
While it'd still be hard, it's be far more fair.
EDIT: another problem is the lack of visual difference between electricity coming from the right, and electricity coming from the left.

Giant red doors should be for bosses only.
Do we even have bosses in this game? I could recolor it if you want, but the small doors are just so underwhelming.

I think you went a little overboard with the electric floors.
I could dial back the electric floors if they really are that tough. It's supposed to be a difficult stage, but I don't want it to be seiromem-grade difficulty. Would it help if I slowed them down a bit?

you are using a terrible MP3. I have a better quality one if you want.
Yes, please.

I dislike using keys/locked doors as pacing effects because they don't play well with checkpoints. Babysitting a key just isn't what I would consider fun.
The key shouldn't pose any of those problems. It doesn't appear until after the checkpoint, and all you have to do is drop down to the bottom of that section to use it. You have it for about 10 seconds.
By the way, are you still sure we should ban ice flowers? I think they'd make a good middle ground between no projectiles and the overpowered hammer suit that kills everything.

I just played through all these levels. I've gotta say, they certainly are levelish.
I've already forgotten most of the levels. I remember yours being pretty good, Ratty's being okay, and a lot of them being boring or unplayable. And all of them need more secrets.
Anyway, uploaded a new level. Science!
