Hmm... I'll sit this one out rather. I'm too busy with my current project. ( even though I made a decent 1 hour game in one week for the RM Venture, I'm thinking the level of quality would have to be MUCH higher this time round. At least, for me. )

^Yeah, I'd have to look at the Battle Engine Melody Script for VX to see what kind of skills I can implement ( the first 3 parts out of the 5-part script. Lucky I'm so familiar with it now XD ).

I do know that I can't create skills that will cause the enemy party to lose turns through player skills, so I rather gave Darcy a skill called 'Advantage', which does the opposite ( party gains one extra turn ). Everything else save Close Call can easily be done. I don't want to give them too many skills either ( maybe 8 max skills per char ), but that I'll save for another blog post. =)

Tristian: Lady of the Lion

Yeah, I am thinking of nerfing him a bit, lol. He IS pretty OP'ed. But he is a good 4 or so levels higher than everyone else and has the highest HP and ATK out of the whole cast. Might have to lower the power of his axes and drop the accuracy a bit.

Or at least make a couple of enemies a bit resistant to Stun ( or status effects in general ). And yes, the game probably will outclass Enelysion in every way once it's done. Them I'll have a new signature game. XD

Those ideas are awesome, Dy. Thanks a lot ( if only I knew how to implement Close Call ><. That sort of like Life 3 from FF6, isn't it? ).

But the other skill suggestions had me in stitches. Lol, Animal Call. I can only imagine her making a baboon call.

^ Yes, it is pretty subtle relationship, but I think most players missed it. XD

And Darcy is the most amusing character in the game. I'd imagine her skillset would have to be quite hilarious. Since she is intentionally designed as Tristian's foil.

@nhubi: That's the Big Bad for you. XD So he has to look pretty intimidating, lol.

Yeah, physically, Darcy is a rather weak character strength-wise, so I wouldn't focus on giving her the usual skills based off the PWR/ATK stat. And let's face it, I already have Trabant and Ira/Tristian for damage. And Dante too. XD

I suppose Darcy could also have some skills that gives the whole party and extra turn for attacks/skills. Speaking of which, I really need to reduce the number of equipment granting extra turns. Or I need to up the enemy's Evade.

Evade > Speed now.

Those are some neat ideas for thief skills. Thanks, guys. ( I don't play a lot of RPGs, tbh, and almost never use Thieves/Ninjas for some reason >< )

Man, $10,000 is like... 80,000 or more in my currency. 0_o Might give it a go. Maybe it's time to use that custom tile-set I've been working on.

Little efforts in your RPG go a long way... right?

I do this all the time when making the maps for my games. Probably explains why I take around 40 mins for a small ( 25x25 ) map and anything between 4-6 hours for a large ( 60x60 + ) map. And I do not parallax. Naturally, towns take a bit longer. I actually spend a good bit of time trying to get the tint just right if it's a new one I'm experimenting with. I love making my maps look alive. I just wanna suck the player into the game's world. :D

And I do like a polished end product ( says the person who gets so many buggy reports from her testers. XD Silly passability issues... ). Oh well, one can but try... ><
