2015 "Official" Misao Predictions/Discussion Thread
I've played zero games this year ( apart from replaying Linus and a bit of RoI ), so it would seem foolish of me to nominate, let alone vote. Besides, the winners are in plain sight already...

How to World Build
Exactly. It explains why level design is never really a problem for me. =) If only I took the same approach with my writing. ><

Thanks, Jo. I figured the 256-colour method would be far easier than spriting entire battlebacks and menus from scratch. >< And I like the look of it as well.
Duty vs. Morals. And other stuff.
@Red: Oh, I'll think of some creative way to overcome the row problem. I'll probably stick to using simple autostates and elements tagged 'Front Row' or 'Rear Row'. For example, Flying enemies would be tagged with the 'Rear Row' element, and only ranged weapons would be able to damage them. Otherwise, the 'Immune' pop-up would just appear for a melee weapon like a sword or an axe.
It's the simplest solution I can think of atm.
@Emmy: If you're referring to my online persona, yes, I do indeed have blue hair. XD
Regarding the game though, LoTL actually started out as an SRPG using GubiD's tactical battle system, but I canned it after realising that balancing a SRPG is even harder than balancing a JRPG. Plus, it's sometimes too slow for my tastes at times. I prefer battles that I can just breeze through. Without button-mashing, that is. I like them brisk, but challenging. Kind of like FF4.
Besides, making an SRPG would mean making Fire-Emblem like rosters of characters. And I prefer keeping my casts small.
@Luiishu: I might have a demo out before Xmas, but as for the full game, not until late next year I'm afraid. As for development progress, it's slow, but steady. I don't want to rush this project after all, but I don't want to keep my 196 stalkers waiting forever.
@NTC3: I'm trying to keep things a bit realistic, after all. =)
@Dy: Age is but a number. I actually look far younger than 27. I could pass for a college student. XD

Yes, all human foes can counter-attack you now. I'm working on a Bannerman enemy now. This guy won't attack at all, but will buff the enemy party and generally be a nuisance to your player party. He's also got high defence and HP, making the battles a little tougher now.

@NTC3: In the original, he wasn't. He is now, and pretty tough too.
@Craze: The middle guy's pose comes from the VX RTP general, but apart from that, he's custom. I was just doing a test run for the battlers to see how they would mesh with the backgrounds. The battlers themselves are easy enough to do if I work from a base. =)
