How should I go about writing the story for a game?
author=WonderPup
I tend to come up with a very rough outline for my characters. Then, I write out the scenes. Some times, the scenes deviate from my original plan, because the characters won't allow things to go how I planned. That sounds strange, but I won't force things on a character for the sake of the story; I present events to my characters, and I write their responses based on their personalities. It can be a little frustrating at times.
But I feel that if you aren't writing your dialogue, you can't accurately chart your course.
Seeing as it's a Sonic game, I would go by the personality of the characters they are. Sonic, Shadow, and Silver. I do have a plan for 2 fan characters to be part of the game, a human Pyro and Evil Pyro. Very slight differences would be in there sprites.
How do you go about writing those scenes then?
So I want to make PG Maker...

...though I will get money out of that (my business model features some ideas that will help me get the money).
And this is why I hate people who make programs(games, editors, game engines), most of the time they make it cost money.

How should I go about writing the story for a game?
I normally write my stories as if I'm writing a book, except without dialouge. I normally don't write dialouge, and try and type things the characters would say off the top of my head, just trying to make sense. I sometimes write down ideas, plot, characters, stuff like that. But that apparently doesn't work for me, because it all, still is somewhat random. And I run into problems where I run out of ideas. I need to think it through a bit more, I know. But the way I write stories, won't alllow me, but it's the only way I know how to write now. I need some help.
I canceled a project "Am I Evil?" for RPG Maker VX, it was just a test anyway. Super Mario Seasons is my official project write now. And really, I know I will finish Mario Seasons soon, but I'm a bit bored. And as a side-project, I started making sprites for a game "Sonic Humans"
Now "Super Mario Seasons", "Sonic Humans", and "Really Augumented Virtual Reallity" on my shoulders, and I know one of them will bite the dust. I think it will be "Really Augumented Virtual Reallity", but I'm not sure. So to make this topic more clear, I'm asking for a way to write the story for Sonic Humans, without it blowing up in my face.
Oh, and by the way. I really need a place to store my ideas for new games, so I don't start making too many games, and without fear of losing it. :(

Super RMN Bros. 3 Review
First:I laughed a bit seeing this. And the fact that my computer was fried accidently after making the first video of my Let's Play, I guess I'm glad it happened! I was barely good at World 1! Let alone if I tried to continue the game, and on camstudio? Fuck that! I still feel like playing it though, to get my own opinion. I agree with you to a point on "Stop the clock" and "Partners in Prime", because they were annoying, hell, I never even finished "Partners in Prime", but that annoyingness actually fixed itself with originality, 'I haven't seen this before', and how interesting the ideas were...though the stages using them were complete shit to me.
I also didn't like the idea of stars and secret stars. I never knew there were secret stars! WTF! I've been thinking of making a 2D remake of Mario 64, or at least something like that. And how it would work is: there's a hub world, and a map world. The hub world is where you can choose your stages, the map world is where you chose your stars to complete. No secret stars beside on the hub world, and even then, I would make it so that it wouldn't take too many stars to continue to the next map. Like, that's how they should of gone about this!
Still, in my Mario game I'm doing right now, I think BlobOfGoo(when he was on my team) and I already broke that #1 rule, don't waste the players time. So what say do I have on that matter? I think quite a few people have made that mistake before, so it doesn't matter until you are experienced enough to know what to do. By the way, what did you mean by breaks in the game? As in, thinking about the right times to give breaks and challenges when developing the game.

Cell phones.
I don't have any minutes on my phone because I wasted most of them...you won't believe this when I say this...on a fucking ringtone, about a year ago.
I haven't been able to add minutes on the phone for years, and I think it also needs to be charged, because the last time I used it I believe the battery went dead. It's one of the older cell phones, with a camera on it.
If I can remeber what it is, it's a Tracfone, and I think it also could go on the intenet...which cost minutes, and I only used it for my ringtone.
Monster by Skillet. It was worth it.

Your future RMN overlord
Nice baby you got there, I may be a bit late, but still.
Congrats.
BTW, thee only thing that would make it better, is if it weren't holding a football.
Edit:Still. Now that I see the Hockey Stick, I'm smiling.

Set a gamedev goal for today.
author=pyrodoomauthor=pyrodoomI shouldn't of expected myself to finish the rest of Lavender Town in a day. I may have to replace my milestone for tommorow, so I can finish it. D:
Milesotne for Really Augumented Virtual Reality today:
-Finish Lavender Town and start the Shadow Temple
O.k., so I still haven't finished, tommorow is the start of my virtual school. So I may not finish it for a while, and plus I've been playing SNES and GBA for quite a bit. Maybe a bit later? :(
Whoever put in the reset button for the mailbox so you can fix the Mailbox glitch yourself is the best person and deserves sexual pleasure.
Yeah, but to reset the mailbox, won't that take all the other messages you may of wanted to keep?
Edit:I just saw it, just now, and tried it. Now I don't have to see that blinking blue thing up top and get annoyed because I know something's there...but it was sometimes just so tempting. It's a relief! Thanks Ankylo!
