SICKSINZ'S PROFILE

Really not much to say. Been around for a long, long time in the RPG Maker community and just came to rpgmaker.net one day to see what it was all about.

Wow. They are selling tilesets that have been free for use for years? Is this common for them? I'm so out of the loop.

What are you thinking about right now?

I've received an interesting PM from a user by the name of rpgstudios:

I love your game and love the Style,

What we would do is launch your game on steam, and market your game for maximum exposure, We would only take 10% of sales and steam take 30-40 which is really harsh,

I currently have this game on steam which is one of mine called Warriors of Vilvatikta

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=725666245

What I can do if you wanted to market with us is Add your game to our website www.rpgstudios.co.uk

and publish your game via our marketing department, "backtobasicsgaming" who handles all our marketing

And if thins go really well we could do a collaboration on a game :D

and be part of our team if you wanted.

look forward to hearing from you

Now, aside from the fact that they are using the singular "game", and that they are not specifying which game they are showing interest in (my partial assumption is Might be Magic), I wouldn't feel comfortable putting anything of mine on Steam. I mean, my stuff tends to use ripped resources (for the most part, it's music), and that just feels all kinds of icky to me. Though, the thing that's really giving me pause is this "backtobasicsgaming" thing. Like, I swear I heard that name before on RMN, and not exactly in a positive light!
I got that too XD It's strange that someone is sending those. I wouldn't bother with it. Just ignore it.

I don't normally drudge up old information, but scrolling through the threads and statuses, I came across this post and thought "wow, this sounds familiar."

Seems this same guy is spamming RPG Maker groups on Facebook as well. He did that sometime toward the beginning of this month, this time with a Game Studio named "Avalanche Studioz," which I told him "dude, there is already an Avalanche Studios" and his response was "well, we are Studios with a Z." He then went on to try to convince me and the others how it wasn't a scam.

Seems scammy to me.

On that note, I'm back! Nobody missed me or knew me I'm sure, but I'm able to commit to my old hobby once again, finally!

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy

Whoa, bud. You're still working on this? I love the effort you're putting in.

Lethrface's Splash Screens

I have been unable to replicate any script errors. Please read the instructions that are in the script and if you continue to have the issues, make sure you tell me what you have tried and what the results are, step by step. I can't fix an error that I can not replicate. With this script 100% of the issues I have seen have been purely user-error.

Lethrface's Splash Screens

Y6 is a VX script am I correct? I don't support VX scripts as I do not own a copy of VX. I cannot assist you with your request.

vexcombo.jpg

I have a big question for you. Are you using Yanfly's combo system? It looks like it. If so, what sideview battlers did you use for it? I've tried a few of them in the past and for some reason they end up crashing the game when combined >.<

Wreck it Ralph - new Disney movie! ...about a video-game character?

It's the only movie based off of games that will be any good because unlike all the other movies, it's an original story about an original character and don't have a single set universe they are limited to.

I will shut up about that once I actually see a good video game movie though.

Lethrface's Splash Screens

It seems odd you two are the only ones reporting any errors and I cannot replicate any problems myself. Are you both using legit copies? Have you checked any scripts to make sure nothing was modifying the scene_manager in any way? Are you only changing portions of the script that are meant to be changed? Also, are you making sure the proper checks for whether the image is a movie or not are made?

These are all things that need to be taken into consideration. I cannot support you with these issues without the ability to look at what you have or without at least knowing what all you are using in conjunction with the script or even knowing the exact issue you are having.

Your walls blend waaay too much with the ground. Causes a little eye strain. I would suggest using something that will differentiate things easier.
