A Devil's Chance Review
I'm not exactly sure what Atelier Iris 3 has to do with this game. You don't even have to sacrifice the female lead in that game unless you skip an optional main story mission.
Let's Play Updates (December 2023)
I suppose double posting is technically illegal, but I really don't want to include my thoughts on "Shaman King: Power of Spirit" and my short Numidia campaign in Rome: Total War in their own topics.

Shaman King: Power of Spirit
==============================
I'll admit this licensed PS2 game is a bit of an odd boy since it's a combination of a fighting game and a strategy RPG. Albeit the fighting game elements are restricted to Yoh, the series main character. If you use anyone else in a battle your simply presented with information on how much health and energy they'll have left after the fight as well as how much health and energy the enemy will have left. Another oddity with this game is that you can use an endless number of healing items without ending your turn. So you can consume one or more items, move, and attack an enemy in the same turn. Another oddity is that units have a range of influence which allows them to pull in additional units into a fight. So you'll usually be forced to move units in groups of two or three so they can't be individually jumped and wiped out.
You can also use items or special skills to attack enemies at range. This is especially useful when you have to deal with huge enemies since they can use attacks that send out shockwaves that knock the player down, but if these enemies are low on health. It's pretty easy to knock them over with Yoh's basic attack combo. In fact, it was this little factoid that allowed me to beat the game's final boss and achieve the game's good ending.
Though if I had to pick the game's biggest weakness it's the AI for the player's allies. The AI for those units tends to be really hesitant to get into battle oddly enough which can result in instances where you'll be partaking in a two on two battle where your teammate will simply abandon you and allow both opponent's to gang up on you. And this can lead to you losing battles that should be pretty easy to win.
Another crappy part about the game is the reward for beating the game. If you beat the game it unlocks a versus mode so you can play as the other characters in one on one fights. And I imagine most people are going that sounds awesome since who wouldn't a chance to fight as Tao Ren or Ryunosuke Umemiya. The issue here is that this mode is a two-player mode. So if you want to have any fun with this mode you'll either need to convince someone to take on the role of being the second player or you'll just have to live with playing as your favorite character while hacking away at a sandbag essentially.
All and all I'd say this game is middling at best since most of it's mechanics are pretty basic. There isn't anything here that makes this game standout and in a lot of ways battles in this game become a bit more time consuming than I like since most battles in this game are packed with small fries meant to slow you down.

Numidia (Short Campaign)

The big problem with Numidia in Rome: Total War is that it's unit roster is pretty limited. As a result your going to be spending most of your time in this game using the same handful of units over and over again. In fact, you'll be spending most of your time spamming cavalry and archers. The archers help provide some range and give you a unit to soften up enemy infantry lines before falling back for safety reasons. You'll then rely on your cavalry to utterly smash the enemies remaining forces. And this strategy plays out over and over again. And sometimes if your lucky enough to engage in a field battle you'll probably just use cavalry spam to win. Especially if your playing on the Medium/Medium difficulty like I was since you can use a mass cavalry strike to shatter an enemies morale and then easily mop them up as they flee. This is especially effective against the Roman factions since they lack access to an early spear unit to counter your cavalry.
All and all I think it was pretty good idea to end the campaign after twenty episodes since the battles were starting to get pretty boring.

Some New Pet Photos
I really can't call it our cat. She's a stray/feral cat that shows up every now and again with kittens because our neighbor's garage and backyard is filled with crap. She also hides under the walkway to our shed every now and again since my dad ripped out part of the wooden pathway at one point. And since that area is surrounded by fences she feels like it's a safe place to layout and let her kittens feed when they were still fully reliant on her milk as well as give them a decent option to hide if something does show up since they can quickly roll of the wooden pathway and slip underneath it.
And I partially question if she was giving me that look as part of a demand for more food since she is constantly begging for more free meals now a days. Even though my mom feeds her twice a day already.

Back From the Tavern Review
Yeah, I had to use the bounce trick to sometimes send people right or left at times as well. I also had to use the bounce mechanic to trap people on third stage so I could send one or two people at a time to the base camp so I could keep up with them.
I also found the game a lot easier to play in fullscreen mode which isn't my preference when it comes to recording footage.
And I'm still running Windows 8.1 on my computer. Though, I'll probably need to upgrade to Windows 10 in the near future due to steam and other programs on my computer demanding me to do so.

Yeah, Maggie really doesn't like hats. It was a bit of a pain to get her to wear this long enough to take even this photo of her.

I'm not sure if I ever uploaded this photo here before or not. Sadly, Bolden is no longer with us since my Mom captured him and sent him to a local program for setting up some of the local stray cats in barns.
And mama cat is back with a new litter this fall. And if your curious why this image is so tall. It's because one of her kittens is hanging out in the planyer box near the white rock. And I'm pretty sure mama cat is asking "What are you looking at!?!

I suppose the stats on this site are getting crazier and crazier as we look at the gaps between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for the various categories.

Your welcome. Though my fastest winning time for this game is currently at around 4 minutes and 43 seconds. Though if it's possible to top that I'm not sure since the amount of time needed to beat this game is pretty luck dependent.
Sweet Middleground 4 ~the sand castle~ Review
I'm surprised he didn't point out the amusing spelling error in one of Antigone's lines.
After all, I'm pretty sure hitting someone with a wet cupboard would hurt pretty badly. Though how she'd load a piece of furniture in that tiny cannon is anyone's guess.
And you used the incorrect portrait for Fumiko in one of the early conversations as well.
Slowed down so it's a bit easier to see her sprite before her head covers most of it. And I left the dialogue section in so it's easier to find.
And yeah, I already recorded and posted a Let's Play for the fourth game that will go public in November, but I did point out that changes are coming. I'm just not the most patient person when it comes to stuff like this at times. It's why I'll probably ask the developer of Klonoa FanRPG if he's going to make that public anytime soon since he told me it should be ready over two months ago at this point. And it's been about a month since I last asked him about it.
And it's possible to trap yourself in this game on the map with the brambles.
Though, I'll admit the likelihood of anyone doing so is pretty small.
