RMVX Ace Features and Discussion

RPGMaker VXAce is $89.99 or in short $90. There will be discount vouchers and probably a 50% discount for VX owners. It's also said that the release date is february for English.
Sweet, I was hoping for a voucher. I will definitely be buying Ace when it comes out.
The Dark Knight Rises
Not really a fan of Bane and I don't care for Anne Hathaway either. That being said, this movie looks like it will be decent. I own the first Batman movie in the series but still haven't watched it all the way through, I thought it was too boring. The Dark Knight was great though. The Joker was absolutely brilliant and so was Two Face. I liked the Batman cartoons from when I was a kid but never really followed the series, I was always more of a Marvel fan.
Criticism, your audience, and putting your foot down; the concept of saying "That's too god damn bad."
I think it follows a pretty linear scale, the more talent you have the less advice you should listen to. While advice can help make a bad project tolerable, an innovative, great project can be watered down by too much input and just be another game.
You can't please everyone, so if you believe in your project, just do it the way you want. Ask for advice on mechanical or visual aspects, but as far as creative aspects go, do your own thing.

What's your biggest regret?
Gonna go to a dark place here, but...
Dating a girl who manipulated me to the point of attempting suicide just to get away from her and ending up in the hospital for 2 weeks because of it.
On the plus side,
I ended up moving across the country, reconnecting with an old friend who is now my wife and my biggest support and best friend.
So my biggest regret was also kind of the best thing that's ever happened to me.

As a Christian and a student of the Bible, I can say that the Bible does forbid homosexuality in a few places. It also forbids sex outside of marriage, involvement in politics and drunkenness. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11) So if someone chooses to apply the Bible's counsel in their lives, they should not pick and choose which rules they want to follow because if you believe what the Bible says at 2 Timothy 3:16, all scripture is inspired of God, not just the ones you want to be.
From a Christian's standpoint, it was once put to me that regardless of the reasons for why a person is homosexual (genetic, environmental, or whatever), its still a choice. Just because someone is predisposed to being a violent person because of certain genetic or environmental factors, it does not give them the right to be violent in God's eyes. So just as a person can choose not to act on violent thoughts, the same can be said for thoughts of a sexual matter. So that's my take on homosexuality.
Ultimately though Mark 12:30, 31 is important to any Christian because there Jesus says to "love your neighbor as yourself". Do you want to be treated with disrespect because of your beliefs? Probably not. So why treat others with disrespect? In the end God has the final say so do your best to be a good neighbor and live your own life by the standards you choose.
I don't believe in debating or preaching online about religious things, so that's all I'll say on the matter. So while I do not believe homosexuality is acceptable in God's eyes, I don't hate anyone who is one, or who believes differently then I do. We all have our own choices to make and if we don't treat each other right then all the faith in the world is useless.

Haha, well I'm glad a random question led to some new discoveries, but at least this re-energizes me to continue my project. Really looking forward to Ace now.

So, VX projects won't be able to be opened in Ace, but will VX maps? I'm kind of stuck on how much more work to do on my project in VX with how great Ace looks.

The character/faceset generator looks pretty sweet, as do some of the new graphics.
But, it still hasn't been answered if VX projects will be able to be opened and edited in Ace. And I don't have the time to restart my project so it's a pretty big selling point if I can just continue in the new editor from the point I'm at.

I was getting sick of the articles too, but like sbester I've been a Penguins fan for over 20 years now, and the kid has a ridiculous amount of talent. It's great to see him back on the ice especially with how good the team is right now.
