Tragedies and moral wrongs are committed by people every day, but I can't believe in evil. It just seems like a gross oversimplification of conflicts that arise from differences in agendas between groups of people that are really striving for the same thing: success. All of the "evil" figures I can think of throughout history merely thought that they represented some universal force of "good" or truth and therefore didn't feel inhibited in anything they did, resulting in the most "evil" acts. IMO those are the ones we should worry about.
Murderers, child molesters and such? They're extremely defective human beings (so insulated, selfish, mentally ill, or consumed with their own impulses that they don't care about anything else), but they aren't tainted with some evil energy. I mean, come on.

Ouch NB. Do you live in the USA? Most local noise ordinances here prohibit that kind of crap before 7AM, or at any time during the day if the noise is sustained and above a certain decibel level as measured from the street, I don't remember the exact number but a pit bull can definitely get that loud. A few phone calls and the owner will be required to either 1) do a better job of handling their dog or 2) put some kind of barking collar on the thing (probably the more likely option since they don't sound too bright)
My dog has a very loud bark and on the rare occasions he does start barking (usually because he hears another barking dog), I get right on his case and make him shut up. Most of my neighbors can't be assed to do the same and it is inexcusably lame.

In GML floor(random(n)) returns an integer between 0 and n-1 inclusive, which is equivalent to rand() % n in C/C++ and rand(n) in ruby (which as I understand is what VX scripting is done in, though I have no personal experience with RM)
