The hero now has a Rage (now renamed Impulse) ability that costs 36 TP (the stun one costs 23 TP, for comparison) and unleashes three normal attacks against one target.
The healer tank now has an Impulse that costs 24 TP and removes status ailments from the party and keeps the team protected against bad status for a couple of turns.
The party now has a mage with the basic Fire/Bolt/Ice single hit spells, and has Impulse Darkness hit-all that blinds (17 TP) and an impulse that restores a small amount of MP to the party (30 TP)
And as before, TP only builds when you take damage, to give more of a limit-break feeling.

I have another boss that I have a concept for but not anything for the gameplay portion.
The heroes have to travel through a mountain pass where a big potion workshop was once located. The workshop is in ruins, and in the center of it is a slime-boss whose body is essentially made of potions. I haven't had a lot of luck with ideas aside from some sort of auto-potion or regeneration effect on the boss.

I can't pick one or the other. While I love me some 16-bit graphics to get the nostalgia pumping, I cannot deny the appeal of high-def sprites either.
Though if this was "sprites vs non-sprites" I'd pick sprites any day. I don't have a problem with the CG stuff, but I'm totally in love with sprites.

That's a great idea, but I'm also concerned about who's leading the project. Craze, if I'm reading your post right, it sounds like you have obligations now that will prevent you from being the team lead? Are you alright with handing that over to someone else?
I don't know about you all, but a Female Squall for FF8 would have been cool.

Taken to its logical extreme, have a game with an equal number of attractive male and female playable characters, all naked, all the time. Have everyone else in the world clothed. And have no one bat an eye at the fact that your team fights evil in their birthday suits :P

I'd like to see this project completed, one way or another, tho. Maybe we can still make it work as a community. I personally don't understand the scripting part so much, but I could help in other ways.

Yeah, I'm having the same problems.
It seems like rather than referencing the RTP, the game is looking for those files in its own folders where they don't exist. Even with the vehicles file in place, the game will crash at other points, as other files are missing.
Copying over all the files from the RTP into each folder should hopefully fix the problem, like Liberty said. I haven't played this game in ages and am looking forward to re-experiencing it :D

I have a game design that I want created and I need a team. Any takers?

While I think your idea sounds really cool, I personally wouldn't join a team unless I knew the lead had either A) already completed at least one game before, proving s/he has the drive to carry a project from start to finish, or B) has a demo showing that s/he has taken some aspects beyond the idea phase, and is dedicated and competent with the project.
The problem is that most people don't want to join a team if there's a possibility that the lead will drop the ball and their contributions will never add up to a completed game.
