Cool review. It would have been nice to have a conclusion to wrap things up, since I'm still not sure of your overall view of the game (was it good? average? terrible?), and summing up what parts of the review were most important to remember about the game.

Why don't you draw(or make) the portraits yourself? Personally, I don't like to see facesets or portraits that have already been used a thousand times. I can't get into the story at all 'cause I've already seen these characters.

Been a bit quiet, hasn't it?
Ah yes, as an obsesive man I know how it feels to re-write the same scenes several times. I just can't let it be until I'm a 100% satisfied with the dialogue and every single sentence is perfect but I think it's for the best in the end so it's not a bad thing. Yeah, it takes more time and you torture yourself(or at least that's how I live it) but in the end it's better.

The drinking mechanic is nice but isn't that making the game easier? Although I am an obssesive compulsive when it comes to resource management I found the game pretty easy when it comes to "surviving" so maybe you will need to buff the enemies to compensate the advantage that drinking water gives.
Anyway, I'm excited to play this again. Probably playing it from the begining just for the fun when it comes out.

Well, I tried again and I managed to kill the boss...just to get killed by his minions. Okay, maybe I was extremely unlucky because even with the Karin's "taunt"(let's call it that way) she didn't get hit once in the entire fight until both Holly and May were dead. And yes, I used potions, the angel, shara's all in at level 2 and 3, I think I did everything okay, or at least decent.
Uff, I'm sorry I like the game's mechanichs, the characters are great and want to see how the story goes on but I just can't get pass this boss :(.

Oh, so he didn't summon the brute against you? That's the main reason I can't beat him, he's easy without him. They hit really hard and have a TON of health(for a minion that is) and if Holly goes overloads it's pretty much game over, since you can't use her to heal, and you just can't tank the attacks of all 4 enemies with just May's healing devices(which are not so good anyway).
The only way I might be able to beat him is by overloading and being lucky enough to hit the enemies all the time and use the potion thrower device and, again, be lucky enough to heal the ones that need to be healed.
And this is on the "Medium" difficulty, I can't imagine how strong he is on "Hard" mode, he needs a serious nerf in my opinion. Or at least his minions.

@horror: I didn't even attempt to grind and managed to defeat the first Guardian on my first try, with my characters at level 2. It wasn't exactly easy, but definitely not unbalanced. Did you actually try to use some sort of strategy?
What? I'm playing in the "journey" difficulty and I still can't beat the first guardian, with all my characters at level 4 and they are all full with mods as well.
I don't know how you did it, you are either a boss when it comes to RPGs, you were extremely lucky or maybe I just suck.
