Creatio Ex Nihilo: Aition, an RPG Maker 2000 game on steam. Someone's charging money for this game. There are immensely talented people on this site who can poop out a better game for free.
Ive seen worse things on Steam. It looks awful but someone tried, its not an asset flip so thats something...

Does anyone actually LIKE sewer dungeons? I really feel like I should scrap this whole dungeon :_:
My games going to have quite a few, though rathern than being entire dungeons I just make them the bottom floors of dungeons so thats not all your experiencing as a player.

Im going to answer this in 2 parts because I dont know what to believe anymore.
Do I like RPGS? Yes, as long as (if they are turn based) they fall within the 3 - 5 hour range. While it does happen from time to time id say 99% of RPGS don't have stories that are well suited to being longer than that and tend to feel like the games are mostly padding. I also get bored of turn based combat after a while, so yeah, 3 - 5 hours is the sweet spot for me.
Do I like RPGs as a weapon. In an age of hit scan weapons its always nice to get your hands on something projectile based like an RPG these days, so yes, yes I do.

Reading this thread I feel like im back on newgrounds in the mid 2000s watching people brag about getting a daily place, I left newgrounds over a decade ago to get away from this shite but here it is again.
Congrats, your games selling, your proud of yourself. Maybe its time to start talking about how you think you achieved this wonderous sales milestone and what you think we could all learn from it going forward. You know, something actually constructive that benefits the community.

IMO, games like this just reinforce certain stereotypes about RPGMaker on Steam. And shamelessly bragging about it is understandably irritating to some people here.
Thats certainly another part of it, for me anyway. I haven't played the game, but it certainly looks like every other high schoolers attempt at hitting it big with RTP from the screen shots. As someone who is making something that contains entirely original, well everything (except story hyuck hyuck) whenever I tell people who arent in the community that im making something in RPG Maker this is the stuff they IMMEDIATELY assume im making.
Obviously there is an audience for games that look like this but how big can it really be?
