I agree with the nitpicks as well haha. I don't remember why I gave up on it, but the ailment ending before enemy turn was because I had the enemy attack data in the Troop event section rather than the Enemy data itself. That was to establish much more control. I probably could have found a solution for it, but for whatever reason I settled for it.

I can't believe I just now saw this. This is a very fun and well written review! Thank you for playing and writing this!
The hint is honestly how I play the game. If I went back and fixed this battle system a bit, I'd figure out a way to warn player they will lose action, but alas I had no clue how to do that at the time haha.
The gameplay criticisms seem to be shared by just about everyone (myself included), I definitely addressed those in several ways on my remake of this game.
I'm just happy this game still occasionally finds some attention and that people do enjoy it still.

Very well written review. I agree with everything you said. We practically made the game in 2 days at the end due to life situations preventing us from working normaly. I too have had a slight pain in my heart for this game's potential unutilized. The game is rushed improvised nonsense but I'm glad it gave some joy to others haha. Thanks for playing and reviewing!
