Love and War is a tale taking place on the world of Terra. Ever since the birth of the first nation-state on this world, Terra has been wracked by the scourge of war. Five nations managed to survive throughout the ages, yet it seemed as though with each passing day, humanity slipped closer and closer to self-annihilation.

One man made a difference, however. The youthful Emperor of the Zion Empire, Geraud Valtemond, was this man. A brilliant, honorable, and benevolent monarch, he managed to open the eyes of the leaders of the other nations, showing them what lay ahead if Terra persisted down this road. Through diplomacy and sheer force of will, Lord Geraud created the Commonwealth; an international governing body, comprised of democratically elected representatives and Peacekeeping Forces, which would forever make war a thing of the past.

Three centuries have elapsed, and people have forgotten the lessons of the past. Tensions are rising between nations once again, and it seems as if the Commonwealth is powerless to do anything but watch as its order crumbles. Can one man make a difference, once again?

Love and War: Jaina's Story Released!

Hiya everyone! Just wanted to report the release of Love and War: Jaina’s Story!

It’s a new short video starring Jaina Vellin, on St. Mikhail’s Day. Please feel free to check it out, and let me know what you think! Special thanks go to DollVA for voice acting Jaina (and Helen!), Khaishian for the artwork, and Aekenon for recording and editing the video itself. Merry Christmas, and Happy St. Mikhail’s Day to you all!

It wouldn't let me do that after I left the cave. >.<
And if I go ANYWHERE but the destination I'm supposed to,
the character's walking speed slows down to the REALLY SLOW walking speed.
And then it takes me like 40 minutes to walk across a map in search of the guy.
Hmm, pretty sure you can in fact go there right after the cave, but not after it starts to rain. Maybe that's what happened? Not sure what's going on with the walking speed (ugh, don't tell me Ozunhold has done this again...) Sounds like this may be another job for save file editing? ;P
This happened after Ozunhold.
That slowness thing happens if you're doing the Ozunhold quest,
and you leave to go to another town then return.
If that gives you any idea of where you could fix it.
I know for sure it happens EVERY time. (Done it repeatedly trying to get around it)
For some reason I have a hard time getting around to go to a store to get things I need,
and then it turns out if I return to where I'm supposed to be,
Major slowness happens.
I can try from an old save (I have to beat the stupid worm queen e-e;; ),
and see if it lets me.
I knew it. Arrggghh... Well, send me your save and I can at least fix the walking speed! Sorry for all this. The revamped version cannot come soon enough. :P
Well I restarted from the game,
oddly that stupid worm queen was much easier o-o;
She took a good portion of my healing items,
but I still have 9 Flasks of Life left.
It hasn't started to go slowly as it did last time,
but when it does,
I'll send you my save,
unless it's like right there at the end.
Finally beat the game ;~;
It was really good

Edit:
SOMETIMES though.
I seriously want to slug Ryan in the face.
I find him kind of annoying,
and I like Lavie better.
roughly how long till the remake is out just wondering
RainbowMusicAddict: Congrats on beating the game! Haha, I'm sure some people would agree with your edit, to be sure.

Farfetched: Wish I could give you an estimate, but essentially I'm just playing the waiting game, here. ='/ Once I actually get the remaining voice acting and artwork, I suspect it would only be a matter of weeks. Fingers crossed, fingers crossed...
hey its all good ill just keep playing it
Can someone tell me where the Davenport mayor is... can't seem to find him for the life of me.

You can find his house directly north of the Colonel's Gym. Hope that helps!
Just wondering: Are you any closer to getting this released or are you still waiting? I still have the game on my laptop and I've been suppressing the urge to replay it cause if I do I won't want to play the remade version as much :P
As it turns out, I got some bad news about that recently... which, thankfully, was mostly counteracted by some good news I got even more recently, haha. All in all though, I'm afraid I'm still waiting! Closer, but not close enough... I would definitely agree with you though, that it would be better to wait and play the new version, for exactly the reason you cite. :) (If you really wanted to, you could try replaying the demo of Act II, I suppose...!)
Had been playing it for a bit and am already loving it!

I lol'd so hard when Ryan was playing the piano... reminded me when I started playing the piano, it was also one of my first songs! XD Also the wanted poster of 'Lye Sander' haha xD

The only problem I had with the game was that the walking speed is so slow in certain places, like caves and world maps, other than that, the game's fantastic. :)

It seems that Romancing Walker has inspired you huh? I saw bits of it in the game, especially the attraction points thingy and the sound that comes after that, also the logo next to the skills of the 2 journeymen earlier in the game.
Sorry for doubleposting, but I'm having a little trouble in the game.

After I got the love poem quest, when I 'jumped' on the first rocks, lavie had a dialogue, then after that, there's no dialogue at all. The Mau is suppose to steal the poem right? I think I triggered that animation BEFORE I got the quest! Ugh >< Is there any way to fix this?? I don't want to replay it again :(

Also, the game slows down in Ozunhold. Thank God I somehow managed to 'fix' it by talking to that blue-haired weirdo that got 'jinx' in Davenport.

edit: Nvm solved the treasure quest already >.<

Just finished the game, really really enjoyed it :) Now I can see why iishenron wanted you to do the writing!
This looks so good, did the download disappear because it was on megaupload or you're going to reupload a different version?
Agh, my apologies for the delay in replying, ivoryjones! I've only just managed to get the Internet back after a soul-sucking three week absence. Brrr. I'm glad to see you managed to make your way through Act I, even so. :) What's this about iishenron and writing? :)

DominatedMind: Yes indeed, I never made use of Megaupload. :)
There was a topic in the forum (forgot which section) long ago that asked RMNers if they were to team up in making a game, who would they pick for graphics, music, scripting, writing etc etc and I saw iishenron (dude who made TTHW) picked you for the writing! :) This came as a shock to me since TTHW was my all-time favorite game and the writing was absolutely brilliant, also since he mentioned "if you like TTHW, why not try playing LAW" so that made me go and play your game. :D

Edit: Oh I found the topic haha--

Haha, that was awfully nice of him to say. I've only spoken with him a few times, but he's always seemed like a cool guy. (Now if we only could get an update on the Queen's Court...)
