Silent Hill on RPGMaker?
I've been playing around with an idea of psychological horror game on rpg maker as well. There's no way you can have the kind of immersion as some more recent 3d horror games, but if the player is willing to use his imagination and take the game for what it is, you can make something worthwhile.
Your best bet would be to make something eerie and bizarre in the same vain as yume nikki. An original idea and good imagination will take you far. Another example would be something like the original X-Com. You know something lurks in the darkness but waiting for it is worse than actually confronting it.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
I looked that Primal Carnage up, looks very interesting! Looked like Turok done right. I'm gonna start playing that with my brother once I get some time for new games..

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
^^ I got a game n watch gba from japan, been playing that one a lot. Pokemon and FF V.
Also got Astorias Abyss (correct?) DLC for Dark Souls. What a great way to start DLC I must say :D Dark Souls ranks among the best games I've ever played so I'm really excited with this one.

It looks good for what it is, a small village. That little elevation looks a bit off, maybe if the tiles were in different colour? Townspeople also spice it up a lot!

Yesterday I got back to my comic in making.. Cyberdogs. It's about this K9-unit that gets enchanced and turned into humanoid cyborgs. They serve and protect by fighting regular crime and stuff like picking cats from trees , etc. Their main objective is to fight against rabies-virus that's taking over other enhanced dogs and turning them into these crazed anarchists.
If that makes any sense. To be honest it's not too serious of a project, just something to improve/keep up my drawing skills. hey, I've learned to draw dog faces if nothing else :)
EDIT: Does anyone know a good place to upload images? I'd like to have some constructive critisism possibly in future

so yeah, I'm also making this game inspired by demon's, dark souls and nethack games. Sort of a hardcore rpg. I'm thinking of making somekinda semi-random map progression. So the other day I got ONE tile in chipset done. expected release date : sometime in spring 2099

How is VXACE anyway? I'd be happy with pretty much rm2k/rm2k3 with some restrictions gone and in higher resolution.
For example is key input-thingy and picture placements similar? I know in XP you had to script everything if you wanted to make somekinda custom systems, but I'd like it to be possible with ready options as well.
