I find that a weird argument, Emily. It's very suspicious if someone hammers while people are still talking so smart scum wouldn't do that.
I am with Cave and LockeZ on that we should commit to votes and hammer, because we're not going to have any information if nobody votes. Being hesitant to vote can definitely be a scumtell. (See Odd for an example) I'm not with Cave on that needing to happen while there's still so much time on the clock though.
That's true, although I don't think (especially on D1) that just rushing to hammer while there is still discussion is smart for anyone. It's dumb for scum only because it's also a very bad town play. I didn't mean that scum would just come right in and try to hammer immediately, just that I think it's more scummy to try to convince people to hammer earlier rather than later.
I could definitely be wrong about what all that means. That's what I thought, though.
How much time is really left in D1? Still like half a day, right?
I'll put this down because it's really what I want to do. This is my gut feeling.

I'm open to other ideas, but I feel neutral on Ozzy. I can see what Jeroen is saying too. But like, I don't think that not actively scumhunting is really a scumtell, is it?

I'm not really sure I think an Ozzy lynch is the best choice. It seems like he's actually trying to help town (at least on this page). He just doesn't feel much like scum to me.
I would feel the most comfortable with a PA lynch right now. I don't really feel like he's helping town. I know that's sort of his playstyle, just to cause chaos and see what happens, but that kind of doesn't change whether I think it's helpful or not. And to me it doesn't clear him in any way.
Couldn't you say a similar thing about when we are close to hammer? Although I guess that would require more town assent, and is harder to set up.
OK, I think I see what PA and Ozzy are saying about scum not wanting to hammer. I'm not convinced that's the only (or even most likely) strategy, but it's definitely possible.
Is that necessarily scummy? In games with only hammer, that's not necessarily bad since it's working to help avoid nolynch. I could believe he is more thinking in terms of ensuring a lynch D1.

I still think Ozzy has a point. If our votes are split nearing the end of the day, then scum can tip the scales easily. Perhaps only one of them vote for the wrong target to ensure a mislynch, putting them at minimal risk.

Talking about votes on me, I don't like how Fomar just went with voting me because I had the most votes on me, sounds like he is just going along with the vote chain instead of coming up with a good reason.

Something interesting to consider that I just realized, scum will probably not push for votes much during this day if not multiple days. There's no need to hammer as the person with the most votes on them will die. It would be perfectly logical to assume that town would therefore be way less pressured to give many votes or even hammer anyone.
That's the perfect reason TO push for votes. nolynch isn't an option, so it would always be better for scum to hammer rather than end normally as it limits the amount of communication during the day.

Alaskan Emily returned with a post I would like to see her elaborate on. Especially on Demon (I'll go through his posts at work and do so myself). I think her defending Ozzy's warning looks good for her, tho.
I don't really think Demon is very suspicious, I was just wondering what Jeroen was thinking about. I don't think he's squeaky clean, but it does seem like he normally takes some time to not focus much on mechanics and in this game that isn't easy. The setup tells you quite little. Even less than in Cave's game, we don't even have a confirmed number of mafia. So I could believe that he would seem a bit different D1 here.
For what I said about PA, last game he was all over the place with fakeclaims and wacky schemes (which I still think he just made up later as an explanation), but turned out to be town. So it's a little surprising to me to see what I am 99% sure is a fakeclaim (or a very ill-advised claim I guess, maybe I just don't want agents to claim yet and think it would be kind of dumb to fakeclaim agent as regular town), while doing so in such a calm way. It seems strange. But It's also kind of "He's not being strange, isn't that strange".
...
So also, I don't really like Cave calling for consolidating votes. There is no nolynch here, even to the point that in a tie it's a coin-flip. It's better to get as much information in as possible since you can't "forget" or "miss" the hammer.

For what it's worth, I also also had presumed there 3 agents and 3 mafia. Rereading now, it seems that was only a presumption.
I could believe Demon is scum. These posts seem a bit different to how he was the last couple games. But they don't scream scum to me either.
I also wouldn't take Odd off the table for not being low-profile. Last game he did so to very good effect, and I even pointed that out in my second post in this game. It's possible he would intentionally be changing things up. Not that I am advocating for lynching him, just that I wouldn't let this in particular stop me right now.
I thought you said you weren't going to play crazy. I don't think I should have to say this, but outing yourself as an agent is pretty dumb. It also doesn't sit well with me how understated this is...for PA in particular...
