[MAFIA] Prisoner's Dilemma. Game Over

That could be. I hadn't really thought about that, Liberty would've made a lot more sense as a target for that being vanilla.

[MAFIA] Prisoner's Dilemma. Game Over

Although he did immediately back off after the roleclaim. I do agree that the lead-up when we were first nearing hammer on Psy seemed, if not clean, at least not really scummy.

Piano: Could go either way, but there are reasons that make him look town.

What are your reasons?

[MAFIA] Prisoner's Dilemma. Game Over

I still kind of feel like I haven't fully digested the interactions people had with Liberty, knowing now that she was scum.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder if Piano and Liberty weren't trying to turn up their argument specifically to take focus off of Psy, and then finally agreed that instead we should all vote for Shinan.

I still have this nagging feeling that the entire interaction was largely a show, on both sides. I would really prefer we lynch Piano this time.

Re:Tale, looking back I really don't like the post of nothing but a cancel. I think most of the time posts with nothing but a vote are very suspicious. But Tale also did take Psy up to one vote away from hammer, so...I'm not really sure what to think.

In regards to the Fomar vote, he tried to hammer Psy. Neither Liberty nor Psy was around when the first Psy train was going. I don't think that a newbie scum would've hammered his comrades. I am now certain that Fomar is just a newbie town and not a coached scum.

That does makes sense to me. And pretty much any realistic prearranged plan for fomar to be the one to hammer probably wouldn't have played out the way it did, I think.

Isn't anyone with bothered with my post to Liberty from D1?

There's something Liberty said earlier that seems off to me.

Well, if we all picked vanilla at least we know we're all equal!

Vanilla town and vanilla mafia can be the best of friends? Maybe in the beginning but for how long.

In what way? This seems like a pretty natural thing to say early on D1.

Even if it was suspicious, then like...I guess of course it was? She was scum, and she already died. But seriously, I don't think there is any deeper meaning to this. Why do you keep bring it up?

[MAFIA] Prisoner's Dilemma. Game Over

Sorry, I meant this game and PA's game.

[MAFIA] Prisoner's Dilemma. Game Over

quote author=OzzyTheOne]It kind of does tale, because scum would only target a townie, and if Ivory was protected and only Liberty died because of me the town vigilante shooting her, than scum must've targeted a townie, who was Ivory.

I mean choosing nokill is also possible, although it would be a very strange play.

AlaskanEmily- This might confuse a few people, but this individual is pinging my scumdar. I've played three games with her, including this one.

Wait, we've been in three games together? This game, Cave's game, and...?

I'm curious how many mafia games you think I've played on RMN.

[MAFIA] Prisoner's Dilemma. Game Over

Well, I am still onboard with either PA or Piano lynch for reasons I've said before.

Regarding fomar, considering a new player makes it more difficult. He has done a lot of rookie mistakes (including talking a LOT about mechanics). Psy did kind of stick up for him at one point in a tangential way (saying how he also would do stuff like running numbers and posting them). Although it was so minor I'm not sure it was really protecting scum buddy in an unobtrusive way.

He reads as very new player town or somewhat new scum, which isn't really helpful.

I thought Libby was just protecting him because she was scum chosing a townie to protect to make herself look town, which is something I often do as scum, but in retrospect I think it's entirely possible that she was actually just trying to mitigate the fact that we were on all three scum on day one.

Did you just confess?
That seems like a poor reading. I think this is just "we were on all three scum on day one".

[MAFIA] Prisoner's Dilemma. Game Over

So wait, why do people (especially ivory) prefer to lynch PA over Piano? Is it just the repeated claims?

author=pianotm
I didn't stop arguing with Libby, I agreed with her because she was right. They were just pressure votes. It's not my fault a bunch of dopes decided to bandwagon him afterwards.

At the time it absolutely didn't look like to me. Although rereading it kind of seems that Liberty just wasn't around for most of the rest of the conversation. But the entire interaction just feels really suspicious to me. I also don't really like someone asking for lynch votes like that.

[MAFIA] Prisoner's Dilemma. Game Over

Right now I am seriously suspicious of Piano, still.

For the lynch, when he was saying things like "you might as well vote for me", that kind of looks like a subtle way to try to get some people to switch their vote to him when town didn't just immediately think Psy was in the clear.

I also still don't feel like either side of the Liberty/Piano argument was all that...honest. I could absolutely believe they were both scum.

But like...maybe I'm just not that experienced in the ways of the mafia, but what is the deal with the scum kill? Is that just to make it...harder for town to not mislynch? Is it to sow some kind of confusion about whether our other other suspicions were correct, or were false?
