I'm a hobbyist game maker. I like making games as both a hobby and a challenge. I'm currently trying to make a game using the Linear Motion Battle System similar to Tales of Eternia. If you are interested, check out my youtube of the progress! Located here:

I also dabble in programing software and I've made some nifty utilities but my best one so far is a Save Editor for Final Fantasy XII. Get it here:

Final Fantasy Dreams
Ok, i got 2 complaints on this before, originally, there IS no vehicle3 in the game, but after the patch i might have included it by mistake. It's really easy to fix though. You could have even fixed it yourself if you knew about how rm2k3 works.
Just download this image

anbd put in in your RTP's "CHARSET" folder and that's it.

database bug in rpg maker 2003
What kind of patches are you uisng? I can tell you you are using something, that's for sure.
That isn't a database error.
Download "Resource Hacker". Open your RPG_RT file with it. (The one you click to play the game)
Double click on the folder called "String Table" and then double click on "4079" and click on the file named "0". In the window to the right, you'll see a bunch of text. Replace them all with this following text:
STRINGTABLE
LANGUAGE LANG_NEUTRAL, SUBLANG_NEUTRAL
{
65248, "Double Attack"
65249, "Defend"
65250, "Observe Battle"
65251, "Charge Up"
65252, "Self-Destruct"
65253, "Escape"
65254, "Name"
65255, "Class"
65257, "Condition"
65258, "Confirm"
65259, "Redo"
65260, "Frnt"
65261, "Back"
65262, "RPG Maker 2003"
65263, "The RPG Maker 2003 Runtime Package is not present or not registered."
When you finish, click SAVE, don't click SAVE AS.

RMVX Script request: Real-time effects
umm... faceforce, you didnt have to do that, I just think that superfire is just retarded. The title already states this is a rmvx script request, and you are clear in what you want. Don't listen to dochebags.
Anyway, how about trying here, http://rmrk.net/index.php?topic=31844.0, there are a whole bunch of scripts there, you might find one to suit your need.

[Rm2k3] shift button = instantenous message?
Yes, I don't skip because I don't like reading, I skip because I want to jump to the gameplay, and I will happily skip the text to do it, but then later realize I missed a bunch of stuff. So to prevent myself from doing that, I pick a reasonably fast option, where it scrolls fast enough for me to read it, but not slow enough for me to want to skip it. (I read very fast).

yes, I hope no one rips it haha, it took me a long time and a lot of critique from nessiah to get it that good.
Something happened...

Let your database finish saving next time. The DB auto-saves every time you close it. If your database is ginormous, it'll take a while.
Indeed. A LARGE DB, (one of mine was 25MB) takes LONG to save, (it took nearly 1 minute) and during that time, it looks as if it's hanged. but it's not. Just wait for it.
