I could definitely use some Promo art for Ara Fell, if you're up for it, and maybe some stuff for our website. I'll PM you with details soon.

Ara Fell Greenlight Campaign

I hope that's true. Now, let's see if it works...

Ara Fell Greenlight Campaign

Thank you everyone!

Ara Fell Greenlight Campaign

Thanks, Addit. Your original review of Ara Fell is actually one of the reasons I was inclined to come back and do this, so you've been more help to me than you know.

Hopefully you'll feel more or less the same way after you've had a chance to play the new version.

The official English 2k3 version is out!

Ha, I see what you mean. I wonder if this is just a confusing thing to talk about. That's what me and Pepsi both thought you meant.

Regardless, I'm inclined to agree that "Variable ID" isn't the best way of putting that.

I thought it meant

Set 0001: VarX = Variable ID 0002: VarY
0001: VarX == 2

What it actually means

Set 0003: VarZ = 10
Set 0002: VarY = 3
Set 0001: VarX = Variable ID 0002: VarY (which is 3, so it refers to the value of 0003: VarZ)
VarX == 10

It seems to me what I thought originally is more intuitive. If that's true (maybe it's not) then Variable ID really ought to be called something else.

I could definitely be wrong. Maybe nobody else feels that way.

The official English 2k3 version is out!

Really? I've always seen Variable ID as the number of the variable itself, not the amount stored in the variable. Never even thought it could be taken that way.

It's not, though. It's the value of the variable at the value of some other variable.

In other words, let's say 0001: VAR1 = 10. If you wanted to know what the value of 0001: VAR1 is, you could find out by saying 0002: VAR2 = 1, then saying 0003: VAR3 = Variable ID . That would make VAR3 == 10 (the value of VAR1).

It would not set the value of VAR3 == 1 (which is the ID of 0001: VAR1). Incidentally, there would literally never be a reason to do this, as far as I can tell.

edit: Here's an image of this.

Liberty, if I'm understanding you correctly, you're saying 298: VAR3 should be equal to 299, the ID of VAR2. It's not, though. It's 10; the value of VAR1.

Really cool BadLuck.
It makes me think of a system I had for a different game. Do you have something similar to choose skills like a skilltree? The victorious sprite under the level up text is a nice added touch.

It works similarly to Seiken Densetsu 3's level up system up. Every time you level, your HP increases, but no other stat.
