So. It's been a while.

It's just much closer to being finished. The 118 maps in the first game was largely because I put a lot of rooms on one huge map, rather than many small ones. Ara Fell's maps in general were quite large, and many interiors that used the same chipset were all on one huge interior map (which required fewer common events to generate sound and lighting effects for). No, AF2k3 was much further along when I started it than AFXP.

AFXP didn't have a battle system or any dungeons or any story implemented in the game, it was literally just maps and a lot of behind-the-scenes systems that never got fully implemented.

\Now, I'm no RTP expert but I'd wager that the new RTP on the rpgmakerweb.com site either has different files or the game has some missing files in it.

That is absolutely what it is. The version uploaded to Rpgmaker.com is the oldest version, and there was a newer update to fix the RTP issue. The new version won't require any RTP.

Ara Fell

I definitely will (among other places) but it's tough to get your game green lit.

I'm not sure, unfortunately. That's the error message that pops up when the RTP hasn't been included in the game, but it definitely has for this game. I'm not sure what the issue is. I haven't heard of that happening. You might have better luck asking in the forums, as it sounds like it might be an issue not specific to Ara Fell.

@Chitaum

Not sure. Any suggestions?

Glad you're enjoying it!

I'll be interested to see what the people who just got done playing the old version will think of the new.

Now that would have been different compared to the original. I wonder how many people, if released, would have appreciated the change or not?

Considering how dull the battle system was originally, I can't imagine people would have minded too much. But I didn't expect the primary audience of AFXP to be the RPG making community.

There is a way to legally defeat the final boss of this game without hacking (final boss isn't meant to be defeated). I'll just stop at that :p

On another side note, there will be no more fights like that in the "Complete" version.

There are three levers in that dungeon with the snakes and bats. Pull all three of them and the place where Lita's cat is hiding will be opened. One of the levers is hidden, and you'll need some bombs and the lantern to find it.

Below is a step-by-step solution.

The first lever (or maybe switches or buttons in this version, I don't remember) is easy to find. It's in the area after you're done swimming. The second is across the bridge that leads south. You'll have to jump up the cliffs to reach it.

For the third, as I said, you'll need bombs and the lantern. Cross the bridge going east to get to a little area with a couple of bats and a rope ladder. Go up the ladder and into the little cave above (I believe you'll need to crawl to enter the cave). The lantern is in that room.

After, crawl again through the entrance to get back to the main area. You'll notice a little crack. Go up to it and press enter to use a bomb. Inside is a puzzle involving 3 buttons or levers. Push the middle and the right button/lever. This will open the way to the last lever you need to pull.

@Sated

That bridge seems too wide to me, and maybe too long too. And the path leading up to this area probably doesn't need to be so perfect. Just to nitpick, you might consider cutting that waterfall up a little, too.

That's a really excellent use of RTP, though. It's hard to get maps using them to look organic, but you nailed it.
