Haha I've made errors like that before.
For some reason your stuff reminds me of Ratchet & Clank. I think some of your characters share colour schemes with dudes from those games.
I think here's where you can really see how they've inspired me. A lot of my evented minigames and events come from the hectic events in the ratchet and clank games, also why Intelligence and Menagerie have space exploration and optional planetary exploration.

I recently found a local chap who said he'd be interested in helping out with backgrounds. I've looked at his stuff, and it's clear he ain't any sort of amateur here.

That's not any work he's done for me, just a sample of something of his.
If he does the Pi Dimension, we're golden. He specializes in 3d renderings for a 2D plane, think Abe's Oddysey or Diablo II.
He's already impressive at it, just thinking about the potential him and I could have together is absurd.

Alright, sorry it's been so long since an update. been busy with nothing cool.
But just now, I drew a pencil draft for an upcoming sai work. Basically it's one of those days where I feel like crying over Fantastical tragedies and this one (yet to be witnessed in game) is gonna be one that pulls at heartstrings, hopefully. It's already pulling at mine.

I finished the final cutscene for menagerie (as in, the one i hadn't done yet, not the final one in the game.)

Sounds like fun! I used to get my friend Usagi Shinobi to concept stuff but then i just started doing it myself.
Got sick of Gerald not abiding to the 3/4 angle masterrace so i redrew him very much to my self-happiness. He looks way better now.

@BizarreMonkey: I like the consistency of using the taller, flat-colored custom sprites as the battlers. My only gripe is that Gerald looks like he's facing 90 degrees away from the enemy. He's seriously facing straight down toward the screen.
author=LockeZLol, I've been improving it all year, but for a game of this size and the amount of time that remains, it's best I just downgrade to mspainty celshading.
I mean, my other gripe is that I think your art style is obnoxious, but that's not something that's gonna get changed, and keeping it consistent is more important than improving it.
@Dookie: Thanks again, adding on the todo list. (E: Done) Not sure exactly what you mean by the cliff edge browning, but I assume you mean make the corners less obnoxiously square on the upper autotiles. If that's what you mean, I'll fix it right now.
