No, you shouldn't. The thread isn't for advertising your game... If people want to play they know how to click your name. :/
Ah yeah, I forgot about that (the click member name thing), we'll I'm happy to remove it because that thing is an ugly gif abomination.

As for your fog dilemma, I recommend making it slightly yellow if you want the place to feel hot, or slightly blue pink if you want to make it feel frigid, also make it more transparent and it should be fine. Right now it does, yeah, look like a cheap overlay.

You could try doing the 'add' blend filter in vx picture commands if thats what you're using, most overlay scripts have support for it, too.

And here lays the ultimate peak of my rpgmaker era. It's gonna be pretty fuckin hard to top this.

One sad note, I'm not gonna have my exact "1000" maker score for much longer! :I

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

Nothing Now, I've finished that FUCKING GAME at last. A little late, but only due to marketing.

I'm here to punish Liberty for offending my madcap OCD. Screw you Lib! :q

Jokes all aside, came back after three days and saw this was locked, I at first assumed it was gonna be drama but nope, just Lib trolling, so that's fine!

Why was I away for three days, you ask? Oh, just to finish that game off that I refuse to shut up about, so nyah!

I WIN!

Alright, I'll give some proper feedback before i go ranting my mouth off about my shit, let's begin with ... HOUSEKEEPING! :B (Not to remind him of anything he may have unswervingly agreed to do tho, shhh!)

Damn. I was holding off on putting any screenshots of this project, but I'm not going to pass up a chance to be on the first page of a screenshot thread:

Things subject to change: definitely the hp/mp bars and who knows what else. Hoping to announce this project either later this month or in early January. It's going to be a big one!
Looks good, if it's anywhere near as well taut as The Heart Pumps Clay I'll be sure to give it a look.

For the sake of trying something new - and to cut down on development time significantly (because I don't already have an ice cube's chance in hell to finish by Christmas) - I decided to bust out the ol' tablet and draw myself a world map, using points and graphics from the RTP basis tileset to dot the land with locations. Due to the shortness of the game, I actually had to scratch my head about how I'd portray this region properly without making it feel empty, and this just seemed like the best solution.

snop1

This is the full map.

snop2

This is the map in action. You'll use the cursor (changed the hero's walk graphic to this cursor graphic I put together some time ago) to choose where you want to go by hovering it over a town/dungeon/etc icon on the map.
Haha, that's somewhat like how i do space exploration, my next game i intend to have the maps hand painted/drawn or whatever. First though i have some projects to finish off.

So, what have I been doing? Eh, had to improvise and settle for less on the optional content side, don't get me wrong, there is still a LOT to do, but I'll be making a patch later to do the rest. I've been gone for the past three days from everywhere to get this done, so as you may imagine there's a good chance i have some stuff to show... yes and no! There's a lot that's been done, but I've been so busy I haven't taken screenshots, deary me!

But, worry not, I did take a couple just now.
The Necropolis

Even with widescreen I can't get it all. :/

Here's an optional boss.

And here's another. ;)

Yes, it is just a repaint of Celui que Entré Douzième, but shhhh!

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

Took last three days off society to finish up the Optional content i could do in M:R, all that's left to do is basically...

And then make a release trailer and punch it all out tomorrow.

I have done so much work... so much. And in a mere day from now, you shall all be free to see the fruits of the CCC's efforts.

All your work is always so fun, Emmych.

I began updating dragons psuedo-recently. They look MUCH better than they did back on page 180 or 181 or whatever.

Also the first I've drawn of Galaxion Shocktroopers/Peacekeepers. Heavily armored Galaxion Infrantry are rare since their carapace provides a lot of armor itself.

So much to show, so little time.

I'm not gonna bloat this post any further, so there's some of what's happening.

(yes the whole game is 20 tiles wide throughout, that's not changing)
thought i was the only one who did weird shit like that.
I'm a touch nostalgic for the set-game-screen size myself, being a purveyor and religious fan of both Epic Battle Fantasy 3/4 and Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus. It does have it's advantages, first since you don't have to worry about the camera moving, you can be particularly presenting of the details per screen, and if it's a world you love building, it's a good way to build it and extrude the emphasis on details. As a more fresh developer on the scene it's also a good way to seperate puzzles and give them direction while also keeping the world intact. because the transitions in Oddworld have sound that only adds to the atmosphere, it actually increases immersion rather than takes from it like you would imagine taking apart the seamless nature of 2d platforming would.

It's about time I update this stupid thing.

Here is a new-ish Fyori.

Waiting for a review on Fantasy Gold so I can know what NOT TO and TO do in my new game, 10 Days until Doomsday!

...

Still working on the first chapter.
Pro tip: Don't use Fantasy or Final in the name.

@LouisCypher: Wow! I have no idea what any of these mean! I'd assume elements of some sort, fire, gravity, wind, repulsion and... water?

The reason I'm posting something instead of nothing is because I'm not in any mood to gam mak right now.

However I have been gam makking heavily the past however many fucking days it's been. Today I just feel like wasting time.

That said, I did get some work done today before this mood approached, fixed all the bugs I found in the escape from the abyss (of which there were quite a few) and began drawing more on that Fyori I did a while ago for inclusion into a scene. That'll be on my art thread.

In other news, finally got a chance to use that Logo Xiie made.
