Mailbox issue: Notification won't go! :(

Hello people!
I have a strange bug on my account. My mailbox always shows a "(1)" even if I read all my messages. I tried to close the tab, even logged off, no change.
Any idea?

Man, this warms up my heart. Release another demo if you think we deserve this. But take your time, don't rush yourself!

I'm actually really happy to know some people are still waiting for this, even if I take so long and my social activities are non existant! Thank you so much.

I would gladly release a new demo but last time I did it took me like 1 month to make one, fix all the new bugs, stabilize it, etc. If there is some demands I will for sure, but it is sadly not a process I can do as fast as I wish.

How often a complete game made on RMN 2003 uses the original battle system?

I use DynRPG actually but mostly for outside battle menus. Mostly because half the game was made before integrating it. This is a great add-on! I'll check these games you mentionned. DynRPG for battles must be such a nice upgrade.

(btw, the fix I was looking for was found, it was the old defense/intelligence stat swap thing I forgot lol)

Doubling/Halving some Stats is bugged in RM2k3

It is actually this!!!

Guys, thank you so much, you have no idea how I feel. It was really stressing me out and was a bit depressed about having to find an alternate solution or cut things from the game.

The crazy thing is, I totally remember this translation bug now but for some reason I never thought about it again since this project started. So apparently the french translators just spread the error which was on the english version.. well done people. :')

IIRC the translation might have been borked and switched 2 of the stat names in that tab in the database. Try halving the stat, and then displaying 4 variables for all 4 stats.

I actually remember this on the english version long ago... omg I need to test this.

Doubling/Halving some Stats is bugged in RM2k3

Hi, I found out to my surprise that some of the basic stuff in the original battle system are bugged and I couldn't find documentation or talk about it. I'm talking about unofficial RM 2003 here.

You know how there is a status that can doubles or halves you stats during a battle, well it works great with strength and speed but not with defense and mind at all, the stats never increase. I did some debug and I cannot be on my side, it is a bug in the program itself. I think the program falsy doubles/halves the "max" of the stat rather than the "current" stat. Can be a bug that was made with the translation back then.

Now, here's another hint, I use the french version and it could be an issue with that one only. I have no idea if the bug is also in the unofficial english version or even the original japanese one. I'm just curious if someone can confirm this to me.
Now, I'm actually praying that it is a bug only on the french version and using any other ones would help be fix that. I would gladly switch to an unofficial english version but these days it seems they vanished from the Internet because of the official version being on Steam.

(If you are not sure how to test it, you can just create a status that doubles your defense and make a battle even which every turn display in a text the defense amount (stored on a variable) to see if it doubles once you get the status.)

How often a complete game made on RMN 2003 uses the original battle system?

Thank you! :)
So it didn't change a lot from 15 years ago, I guess. Custom battle systems are still hot but unless it is for a 3 hour game they are likely not be used in bigger scope game, let's say 30 hours or so.

I think you can use some creative things to makeit a least a bit different than the vanilla version, for instance I use battle anims for every characters so their animations are not just the 3 frames you have normally. I also made a simple event in battle that makes the enemies "shake" when it is their turn so it looks like they are actually moving to hit you rather than just flashing.
Sometimes you can have a different feel just with the help of visuals.
My game being some kind of Pokemoin clone I have a capture mechanic which applies and change the overall feel.

How often a complete game made on RMN 2003 uses the original battle system?

Hi, I'm very not knowledgeable about the games that have been made on the program even if I'm making one since more than a decade now. But I want to know a fact, how common it is that a finished game made on 2003 uses the original battle system.

I, myself, use it even if I'm making some sort of "pokemon" game, so the battle system has some unique things going on, I think the battle system is very underated, of course it has plenty of issues as well but it's been a time saver for me and couldn't even reach the point I'm at if I didn't do it this way.

So, basically I'd like anyone to share their knowledge about how common it is. What games you know are finished and considered serious work (not looking for some joke game or very short ones) that use this system.

I would appreciate this a lot, thank you in advance.

Dude, this game is awesome, Hope you didn't cancel this project!

At this rate I'm not aiming for a release date anymore because life is a bit complicated at the moment but I'm still working on it every day, I'm just really slow at giving updates. Don't worry! The game is actually reaching its 30 hours of playtime and I'm about 90% done with it but it will still take maybe 2 years to finish it.

[RM2K3] [DynRPG] Plugin or Patch to remove Row command in battle?

Seriously Cherry you helped me already so much with my project through years..
Thanks to both of you and I guess this patch will be useful for many other users!

EDIT: worked like a charm.
