After the birthday event I might go on a short rmn hiatus to actually develop something.

I just like thinking out loud. Also, summer being a calmer period of year leads to me being way more prone to procrastination. I have things to do and things to change in my life and I would hate to delay these issues till tba. Summer can be a productive time.
Peace,

FINLAND WORLD CHAMPIONS

Maybe we can defeat Canada next year too.

In other news, today's my brithday!

Happy Birthday!
I'm late, but there's a reason for it.

Remember when I literally asked RMN to make me a 500x500 forest map for free

Do you still need that map?

Reading about the Mary Sue in literature has made me super paranoid about the characters I write.

Is Mary Sue the same thing as Chuck Norris?

Rey is ok. Her flaws just aren't important for the story. She was super bland in ep 7, but I think that ep 8 set up her arc to become something interesting.

I suppose I should be concerned about the fact that I'm using a 19-year-old piece of software to make a video game

No worries, the baby's legal age.

Do you guys decide the titles of your games thinking how easy it will be to Google it? I do.

Do you guys decide the titles of your games thinking how easy it will be to Google it? I do.

I don't, but I also dislike generic single plain word names of games and films.

I need help. I'm looking for inspirations for a game I'm making. Anybody able to point me to some good life simulation games, particularly those that do things like relationships, time systems, stats and story-based games that involve choice?

Ok, these are more ordinary life games than games with everyday mechanics such a hunger:

One Night Stand
- I haven't played it yet, but it has choices and its quite popular.
Kimmy - A really inspiring piece. You improve relations by playing games with other kids. Also, you have a budget.
Emily is Away - I think you might have played this one.
Always Sometimes Monsters - you need to work odd jobs to earn money to continue your journey. It contains choices, money management and many clunky RMish minigames.
Electric File Monitor - I can't run it on Linux, but it looks paper pleasant.

Come join my first stream in 15 minutes as I play superstroke's games (the ones I haven't played so far) for the first time! Endure the cringe! https://www.twitch.tv/cashycat

Yes, some general streaming thread would be a good idea.
I'm not so keen on my voice and I'm not sure I would be able to communicate in English without help of seeing the other person. But If my plans turn out well and I release three games this year...
