"The RPG Maker 2003 Runtime Package is not present or not registered." I downloaded and installed several times from https://www.rpgmakerweb.com/download/additional/run-time-packages and I still get this error when I try to open RPG_RT.exe.
(I even copy/paste-d all files from the installed RTP to the game folder and still doesn't work). I can't seem to find a version of the runtime package that's compatible and it's getting frustrating.
Harmonic, if you are reading this, pretty please upload a version of the game with all the rtp files needed.
Have you tried ye olde "FullPackageFlag=1"? You can add that to the bottom of the RPG_RT.ini (Configuration settings) and it should bypass the need for a physical RTP check. If there are missing files, however, you're sort of SOL because of how the proper English version has changed file names.
EDIT: Although you could download a game like Demon Legacy using the RTP Independent Version and copy-paste the files found there into LoD. It sucks that old games like these are slowly being lost to time, but whadyagunnado?

Ok, so I got the newt, Pegasus, Wolf and Cerberus. And a hint about the outstretched finger of the seer. What the heck? How do I progress. I can't get to that tower up in the ice and can't see a way to the desert. What now?
That's a hint directing you to the Sorcerer's Tower. There's something there that you can observe that will get you to the desert.

The newt is actually found in the cave with the wolf at the beginning of the game. It's hiding in one of the jars and you have to observe the jar about 20 times for it to appear. It gives you a lot of Survival Points.
I'm not sure how to get into the temple. It's been a long time, but maybe there's a hidden switch by the altar? If so, I shouldn't have done that because you don't get the halfway transformation until later.

Once you get the wolf transformation, you use it's special ability during the forest spirit battle to show that you have the heart of nature (or something to that effect) and the spirit will let you pass. DON'T try to damage it, though, as that will result in a nasty scripted counter attack that is a guaranteed Game Over.

Umm I'm kinda stuck. I got the bunny forms and crossed the rubble and to the mines. And after crossing the short forest, I came across a farm with a cow. I speak to the cow and the farmer enters and after that the game is just frozen. I can't move or anything. On pressing the ESC button even the menu won't show up! PLZ HELP!!
There's nothing there that should be causing it to freeze. How many times have you tried repeating this scene? Maybe give it one more chance.
